I live in Jamaica. I wanted the SE Z800i, but am told that Vodacom have exclusive rights to it. I am planning to get a SE V802. What is the difference apart from the shell?

    hi, i've had z800 with me for a week now and just wanted to share my view: I bought it because it's a 3G phone, and thought it would be nice if i can use it in Japan and Seoul next time i'm there (without having to change to iMode ones). Mine came with a 64MB memory stick, and like the fact that i can design my own themes (like all other SE mobiles). The batt can last for 2-3 days for me--a fair amt of talking but definitely a lot of picture taking (personally, i felt that the images came out more accurately than Nokia N90) and messaging.. Sms includes the usual T9 (for English). The only pity is that I can't add my own alert tones and z800 only provides 5. However, we can use mp3 for ringtones and they sound great! Overall i'm happy with this phone.

      Erm... I like to ask those Z800 owners out there, how long does the battery actually lasts? I mean the talk time. It says on the specs that it's 10hrs, i just like to verify, cuz i really need a phone that won't die on me half way through the day.

      Thx =D

          HELP! Z800 Color: Does anyone here have the LINEAR SILVER (two-tones and has vertical silver lines just like the one displayed in this site). I called 100 different places, and they all had the smooth silver, Titanium Silver.

                    Guess what? This phone has been out in Japan since Oct. 04, almost 1 year ago. It comes in 3 different colours.

                          Absolutely great handset. I've bought this phone and I can tell you it's the best choice anyone can do. Amazing features, clamshell design, good looking and versatile. As a minus, though, I would say it's quite large for a mobile phone. But you can't have it all...

                              JB(John):
                              When I bought my v800, z800 was not availiable yet.Today I would have bought z800 because I don't like the restrictions of Vodafone menu(anyway,I do have the DRM program,so I can listen to my Mp3's as ringtones).
                              On the other hand,I love the color of v800.I think that glossy black and metal silver is the most stylist combination.
                              What's more,I'm a quality lover,so I'm not gonna buy a Nokia again.I have bad experiences from expensive but low quality nokia products(I'm talking about the plastics,the quality of the painting,the built quality and also the stability)

                                The phones are really overpriced...but they do offer both colors of teh Z800.

                                  Mary,

                                  Finally, there is someone out who agrees with me who thinks V800/Z800 is more stylish than K750. Also, on the issue of 3G phone and 2 MP, I agree with you 110% that 3G's UMTS network has more in store for us in the upcoming years than the 2 MP camera feature. What people are forgetting is that this is a cellular phone and not a camera.

                                  Mary, was there a reason why you chose V800 over the Z800? Was it the color? Unavailability?

                                  I've always been an avid Ericsson owner, but I was really close to getting the $1,000 Nokia N90 because of its design, but it was missing a feature I most sought after in phones except in Ericsson.

                                    In case you guys do not know, the phone supports 2 gig memory stick duo. I know cause I am using a 2 gig memory stick duo for the last two months and it works perfect.

                                      JB(John):
                                      I bought my v800(the same phone as z800)3 months ago.I could had bought k750 which was cheaper and with a 2MP cam.BUT...
                                      I thing the 3G is very important.3G is not only the streaming TV or the video call(which are a very pleasant experience),it is also a new world of services,and who knows what the networks will cook up in near future and what you will be able to do with this highspeed network(384Kbps/sec).And v800/z800 is hardware enable to support all these new services.
                                      And this is more important than the 2MP camera of k750.
                                      V800 has also a good camera and with good lighting conditions the quality is high.
                                      Also, the larger screen of v800/z800 is better than the K750 screen.
                                      I like the design of K750 but V800 is more stylist to my mind.

                                        Camachoman,

                                        Which store or which website did you buy your Z800? Which color do you have? Titanium silver or Linear Silver?

                                        Does anyone have the rare Linear Silver color? This is the two-tone version that is displayed on the GSMARENA. Thanks.
