My phone also encountered the "No Network" problem.. I had mine fixed in a local SE authorized service center here in the philippines (Semicon). They said it's the coax cable, it's a short white wire with two connectors on both ends ... Had no problem since then.

I got this phone for a while, however, I can't use it since it won't ring when I close the cover. I called Sony support, but they don't support this one because it is from outside of US.
Any one has the same experience or can give some advise?

i just want to ask... if i bought this z800i in the Philippines and bring it to Canada can i still use it?? am i going to have a problem with the network? Please reply. thank you so much.

I have been using this phone for more than a year with no problems at all. My sister has one as well, and she's very happy with it. Using a 2 GB memorystick ProDuo card makes this cell phone a real MP3 player: the stereo headset is neat!

i lovely this phone!!
the keyboard it's so hard but it's adorable.
I don't have any problems since 2 years.
it's a perfect phone for me!!!
and the light it's perfect!!

I have this phone for almost 2 years. The keypad is not good. you have to press realy hard. I had the same problem with the ringing that stopped working. you should reinsert and clean the sim card and memory card. besides that it is a great phone and it is very advanced. even today. it plays mpeg4 and I have no problems with 3g. the menu is very easy to use. I would go for it. even today.

I'm using this model since Sept 2005 and I just love it regardless of the problems I had and still have. For some reason it's not ringing anymore, I have no idea why. But it vibrates, so it's OK. Also the keypad is going to give up soon, but I don't care. I had LOAD of phones before but none of'em was as good as this. Congrats. I still rec it to anyone. It is still a very good phone.

I loved this phone the first time i saw it
but lately it has given me so much problems than I can handle. It works fine for the first 9 months bt after its repair day after day. The sound as well is not good while on video calling.

I bought the se z800i two years ago, heaps of fetures in it, however issues i have been having with this phone and the 3G network which I am on, are:
- 3G services arent that good (as so I have heard), but they did helped me regarding issues I had...so I am on the fence on this one...
- sometimes when you try to sms and erase a character there is a glitch and it ends up erasing everything as if someone touched the C button and not letting it go (I call it the invinsible C :p)
- Now, I can't close it, if I do, I loose signal/reception (it is said to be one of the common problems with this mobile) and when that happens no calls or sms can be received (even when the signal is back on again (that sms disspeared into thin air)
- not very comfortable with sms buttons..a little hard
great side of it:
- not a bad cam, but night time/low light does not really perform well, has light on cam but very blinding :(
- great features
- great look but the silver can be easily scratched (need protection)
- love the extra memory i can have on the phone
I really-really liked this phone and recommend it but in the long run I dont think this phone is good...I am now in the market to find another phone and I am going over seas and this phone is not suitable for it...
thinking of going back to Nokia, they seem very reliable...had them in the past with no problems at all...
any suggestions?

My younger bro is using this phone and it seems that he is having the same keypad problem wid some of the users, its very difficult to press. is tis a common problem of this phone? meanwhile i tried video call wid my k800i to z800i, the image of the opposite party is very bad, lotsa boxes & distortion..perhaps it's due to the 1.3MP camera? does tis mean dat phones wid 1.3MP will not hv clear image on video call?

I got this phone from my brother so i don't have its CD. In my first few months of use, i had no problems but lately, maybe because i had dropped it twice already, when it got shut off, i cannot hear it ringing. When I brought it to a technician he told me that I need to re-insert the memory card to activate the chosen ringtone or other settings. Why is this so? Another thing despite several tries, I haven't succeeded in using its MMS and email, what should I do?And why is this not available in the Philippines ???philippines

Hi I just got this cool phone and it has a problem with my sim... it sometimes say "INACTIVE SIM" then suddenly reboots itself which is annoying. i tried to check wether my sim was deactivated but it works fine with my razr. pls help tanks!

Dear Sir/Mam,
My phone Z-800 is troubling while switching the camera.whenever I try to use camera,the screen becomes blank and the phone fully hangs.it automatically restarts after about 7-8 minuets or by removing the battery.plz. suggest the remedy hoe to get rid of this trouble.
