Sony, Oppo, and Huawei snatch EISA 2024 awards

Sony Xperia 1 VI is the best creator smartphone for 2024-2025, according to EISA. The Expert Imaging and Sound Association released its winners across six categories, and the Mobile Devices section saw Honor, Oppo and Huawei products join the Xperia flagship as being outstanding in their field.

The Honor 200 Pro was picked for best smartphone overall, the Oppo Reno12 Pro was voted the best AI smartphone, while the recently introduced Space Edition of the Huawei Watch 4 Pro was awarded the best smartwatch.

Sony Xperia 1 VI • Honor 200 Pro

The Xperia 1 VI was picked as the "ultimate smartphone for creators" for its triple camera with Zeiss optics and Exmor T* coating. It has a 12 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x-7.1x continuous optical zoom and a one-for-all camera app for all the creator's needs. We also found it to have nicely-tuned speakers and an impeccable Active Use Score.

The Honor 200 Pro also caught the eyes of the committee, and won the overall award for its "versatile triple-camera setup" and lovely design. Its unique Portrait mode is also something worth noting, as it delivers shots that resemble professional shots in a photo studio.

AI Smartphone is a new award among Mobile Devices, and we can expect it to stay for the near future. The Reno12 Pro was picked for its AI Eraser 2.0 feature that removes unwanted objects, while AI Clear Face increases clarity and reduces distortion in the face area of a photo.

Oppo Reno12 Pro • Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition

The Huawei Watch 4 Pro is an amazing wearable on its own but EISA picked the Space Edition for the dual-color nano-crystalline ceramic bezel. It is Red and Black, and Huawei confirmed multiple times this isn't a mere paintjob but a complex process that takes up to 7 days to manufacture the bezel to such detail.
