Sony slashes Xperia X price down to INR 24,990 in India
Competing well and staying relevant with a mid-range offer in today's market is an almost impossible task. The going is especially tough in India, where many value-driver Chinese manufacturers have focused their expansion efforts in recent years. Since, Sony isn't really known for its aggressive pricing strategy, discounts for devices like the Xperia X, were expected sooner or later.
After slashing INR 10,000 off the rather exuberant INR 48,990 (around $735) launch price last year, Sony has now brought down the Xperia X even more to INR 24,990 (about $375). That is how much the phone will set you back on Flipkart today. Not a bad deal, but still likely a bi steep for many prospective buyers, on the hunt for a top hardware for money purchase.
Speaking of specs, the Xperia X is still no slouch, with its Snapdragon 650 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also packs a 5-inch, 1080p display - rather compact by today's standard, a 2,620 mAh battery and a 23MP main camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus technology. Dual-SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity are also part of the mix.
