But you can get a rooted update here:
              http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050126
I used the "S.onyTablet.S__FLASHER__v2.2.7z" on mine. But needed to root it first (as it was that AT&T "locked" version).
              It worked for me.

The AT&T version (that I have) came with Android 3 but can be upgradeable to a rooted unnoficial 4.0.3 ONLY after rooting and not every root utility can do it with that version (don't remember if I did it using OneClick Root, RootGenius or Kingo Root on mine), but this Android update to 4.0.3 unlocks the device SIM, so it can be used with brazilian providers, but only for DATA, not voice calls (instead via IP-phone apps).

It's a very beautiful and elegant gadget.
The battery IS removable (I have two).
The last Android OS that I found for it was 4.0.3 Release 5A (Ice Cream Sandwish).
Unfortunately Sony does not enable updates for a newer OS and there is no Cyanogen for this (at least yet) as this tablet is pretty rare. Anyway, this device works very well and it's very fast even with modern apps (November 2016).

Some apps that are part of these old Android versions are not supported anymore.
The screen rotation can be somewhat annoying and there are a very few apps that supports the dual screen correctly, but the image quality is great.
I'm still searching for a PDF reader that supports the dual screen correctly.
                  I love this device.

I so love this tablet. I used to take it everywhere. It easily fits in a coat pocket. The dual screen nature of the device allows for you ta use it like a micro laptop, with the keyboard on the bottom screen, or read it like a book, only down side to the dual display is the thick black line in the middle when you use it as one big display.
The other downside is not having an upgrade from android v4.0.3
I would love to still use this but so many things want newer android versions.
Someone needs to make an updated version!
