Sony is g... moreYes, the quality of other phones is very bad, I've had Samsung and iPhone phones that started working slowly after 3 years, the battery swells, Samsung is a pain, not to mention the Chinese ones... but I've had Sony phones for 12 years that work, I haven't even changed the battery... it's ridiculous to compare any phone to Sony's quality, as well as the headphones and cameras...

-Mediocre Display
-Basic / low quality Camera, certainly doesn't stand for Sony's brand name
-Plastic Build
-Low storage space (unless Sony gives their SD card for free)

You seem to be under the impression that other companies are just doing us a service by providing the same specs at a lower price, when Sony is just trying to scam you by offering far worse specs for the same price as other phones.

It feels... moreIt's a good device, and the camera has more control than spoken about in this GSM review, manual shutter speed gives good control over highlights. Battery is extremely good since received. Sound quality with various wired headphones/IEMS is excellent. Nothing more to say from me, hell of a lot of SONY hate here at GSM :-) which is fine.

All i said was we are getting used to very low prices because many newer companies are providing same spec for lower price. As a consumer we always have a choice which company to purchase from (which is the way it should be). If a consumer dislikes Sony as a company as well as their products then move on, don't buy them. Example, I stopped buying Apple products years ago, but for my current personal requirements this xperia phone ticked the boxes.

When you actually see this phone, it does not look as bad as it is on spec sheet.
The question is if many folks are willing to pay as much as 600$ for it.

Greedy company became more greedy. Like monster which do not dying because some fans spend theirs maybe last money that to feed this monster. Mazda and Sony in the same line? Walkman II, 24 Sep 2025Each to their own :-) It is a problem though when users di... moreDisagree. I had C5 Ultra, after Android 6 was many bugs in this phone which Sony left till now. This is not only one example. I had many Sony's devices, they all was mid range, because i did not had many money for flagships these days. But Sony had one good thing - quality of devices, which could hold a lot of year. I still have TVs from 2011 year, 32 and 26 inch. They still working, but is in closet already. Right now i using only Samsung devices. I am talking about assembly quality. But in operating system they did many mistakes a lot of year ago, quality was only into metal/plastic frames, not OS. But we all know without stable OS device will not works property, so is not enought to make good quality device, needs good support of OS. Sony here always was weak. Most probably reasons why people left Sony at all is operating system support. This model will get only 4 years OS updates and 6 security, like others companys already giving 6 years OS support and 7 security. Sony still greedy. I don't know about quality of device right now, but as i can see still trying to rob buyers. Most last comments here is not about Sony's how weak is theirs devices, most customers still complains about price. Sony wants too much for this device. Like user wrote more 300 - 350 euros is not deserved this device. By the way when i gone to buy new TV in 2021 seller said better to buy Samsung, because Sony's TV OS is complicated, so i see that after many years nobody did not changed. Sony still don't know how good to support device and create good quality devices included OS i mean.
