Sony Xperia 10 VII goes official with new design, triple camera and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

Sony officially unveiled the Xperia 10 VII, its latest mid-range smartphone. It comes with a redesigned rear camera module and a number of improvements compared to its predecessor.

The Sony Xperia 10 VII features upgraded rear cameras that are now placed horizontally inside a pill-shaped module, which looks very Pixel-like. The phone has a 50 MP Sony Exmor RS main sensor and a 13 MP ultrawide unit. For selfies, the device comes with an 8 MP camera.

At the front, the Xperia 10 VII has a 6.1-inch OLED display that offers a resolution of Full HD+ and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The latter is expandable up to 2TB thanks to a microSD card slot.

On the inside, the Xperia 10 VII packs a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone runs Android 15 out of the box and is set to receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. It also gets Circle to Search and Google Gemini.

Other features of the phone include, dual front facing speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, dedicated camera shutter button, and an IP65/68 rating. The phone measures 8.3mm thin and weighs 168g.

The Sony Xperia 10 VII is available in White, Turquoise, and Charcoal black colors and is priced at €449 ($525). Pre-orders are now open with shipping set for September 19.

I don't know why Sony is very reluctant to use the SD7 series of SoC. If this phone uses SD7g3 SoC, I'll buy it in a heart beat!!!!
