Equivalent hardware and a lean OS xperia is even best here, no one beats it, indicates something is running in the background, uninstall apps and services you don't use

Your apps are at fault. For people like you it's better to buy an iphone or something because there is 0 settings you can change.

suggest your wife to identify the app draining the most first or reset
if it doesn't help then the device is likely defect

I got this phone 2 days ago. Here are my impressions: phone gives off heat but not unbearable heat like Samsung galaxy A54 but hotter than Xperia 5 v. Phone case solves heat issue though. Battery life is not as good as Xperia 5 v but good enough for me. Charging is a bit slower than Xperia 5 v, I find my Xiaomi redmi pad pro tablet charges faster than Sony devices. Apps run faster on 1 vi, compared to 5 v and the cameras seem better on 1 vi. There seems to be a shortage of 2nd hand recent Sony phones, so price to get one is going up. 1 vi going for £610 now, but was £590 a week ago.

It's probably the ai garbage that's running but I dunno how to remove it.

What kind of bloatwa... moreLol,bro never seen a samsung interface before ?Guess your memory is too short or you are too young.One of the older samsung ui was named touchwizz ,but was so buggy the fans had to come up with their own name ,,lagwizz'.Samsung have always been famous with their bloated interface and till this day they still include so much useless software that in about 2-3 years of use the phone starts slowing down if not even quicker than that.Not to mention that the hardware that samsung use is known to be problematic (exploding batteries,diying screens the list goes on)Been a long term sony user and honestly these phones are bulletproof (both hardware and software).Hard to kill one of those ,not to mention how well the battery health of every sone phone ive owned were.If you want a phone that lasts and you might keep for longer than a 2 year period ,you should definetly go for a proven manufacturer that puts it customers before everything else.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2025"This page is the worst compared to other phone opinio... moreSure,forgot to mention build quallity ,,high'' combined with a buggy cheap chineese software filled with ads.On top of that the hardware would last less than the buggy software.Had atleast 4 or more friends with chineese phones ,it was their first and last chineese phone.So good luck to any optimistic ,,genius'' that believes that cheaper means better.Funny how delusional people come to a random phone page (turns out a lot of chineese fanboys ,love to spam under sony threads) and try to blind others into believing that the chineese p00p is any good.Go ,buy it ,use it and be happy with your 1 years lifespan phone (if you are lucky ofcourse ,might be 1 week or 1 month)

A lot of" A lot of delusi*nal fans that's for sure. Because this phone should cost max 600-700euros. Poco F7 Ultra gives you way more value. Flagship killer even has longer software support, same auto camera mode experience + faster. Charging 3x faster, battery bigger. Maybe the name sony sounds way better than xiaomi poco but I rather have better value phone and don't pay for greedy manufacturers who doesn't have anything to offer except high price for less features.
