While they are very picky on specs, most of the people prefer cheaper goods nowadays, especially when compared with some of the Western countries.
So how do you claim Japan to be elites snob?

Sony is not in the industry to innovate but to stay in the industry for the sake of staying and having presence no matter how small. Sony will never compete within its departments and its mobile division will always be kept modest at best.
Sony mobile will remain a niche product and would only be desirable to its fanboys.
Even in Japan, the iPhones and Galaxy phones have dominated but you still have its middle age boys worshipping it.
Unlike, China who has liberated technology to the mass, Japan would always be an elitist snob.

Anonymous, 09 May 2025seems like previous msg was disqualified to be sent. Just ... moreSource you provided are biased & still all based on propaganda to damage Huawei reputation with no technical proof or evidences provided. Eitherway every country have their choice to whom they want to deal with since it's all about business & service provided that can be monitored or technically screened. One thing is proven the usa have been spying on EU leaders using their apple/android phones or some other methods, it was even a major news couple years ago but ofcourse was buried down history to cover it up. That's also one reason usa banned/sanctioned Huawei because they cannot spy on them, so it's one's choice.

Anonymous, 08 May 2025Someone still believes the mainstream media xD Huawei was t... moreYou're being as ignorant as MSM.
The one who has money the most has 0 day exploit all the time, doesn't matter whether that US/CH/ISRAEL/SAUDI or else.
And Huawei actually designs their own chip, meaning they have more potential to implant an exploit without being noticed where as other common chips are distributed to tiers (there will be more reviewers to the design).
& you can't remove some of Huawei proprietary services, which can trigger hardware exploit anytime they decide to.
Meanwhile, phones that enables unlocking boot loader is less vulnerable to such attack as all the OEM services can be replaced with a custom rom, which is fully reviewed by Open Source Community.
At least learn something to start with
Refer to https://thehackernews.com/2016/08/nsa-hack-exploit.html and learn something from it.
Speaking of medias, you may be still being part of brainwash.
You think other so called independent medias are better or something? while they are all connected, look up who is funding them then you'll know.
Therefore, do your own research.
