the one word to describe the phone overall: Excellent. It's been around a week since i've bought this phone and here are a few important points interested but confused buyers like me can refer to:
        1. Battery life= 10/10. Once charged fully, with average usage such as music, videos, whatsapp, social networking, web browsing, calling, texting etc, the phone wont go under 25% even after a whole day. With the same usage on an iphone you will be under 10% within less than 10 hours (according to my experience on having an iphone 4s for two and half years).
        2. Performance: 10/10. Hasn't lagged or slowed down at all. Web and social networking is very fast. Smooth functioning. Slight heating at the back when used for long but if you put a case on, you wont feel that.
        3. Calling and Texting: 8/10. Speaker quality while on call is clear and loud. Texting however takes awhile to adjust due to the small spacebar provided on screen but not a huge problem.
        4. Audio and Video: 9/10. The screen clarity is good but not the best if compared to other products however normal and HD videos are still up to the mark. Speakers are very loud but not the loudest.
        5. Design and body: 10/10. Feels and looks very premium. One can't easily tell that it's a cheaper phone in terms of cost and looks like it's worth much more.
Conclusion: I would say, if you need a new phone and have a lower budget, not a hardcore smartphone gamer but want a phone with good performance and results in the points i mentioned above, recommended.

Xperia M2 is Nice mobile worth for money,
No drawbacks at al,Only thing heating if we play games and watch movies, i realized that when we use display and processor at a time, that time only mobiles get heat, i dont mind heating is not a problem, what ever i do its responding quickly, touch and design feel very good, net speed sound camera also good, battery al so good 1 to 2 days if always internet is on.
if any problem update ur phone software mobile become very good

Just got the M2 last night.
On the specs vs price point, really value for money. Nothing to complain about, especially when the phone is packed with specs much more higher than the upcoming release of Nokia's XL in Singapore in couple of days time... Mine is a D2303, with a different Qualcomm's chipset than the much common 822X that can be found in most other budget chinese phones in the market.
The camera is much better than the Nokia Lumia 525, but as with the older Xperia J, pictures taken exhibits some marginal level of pinkish tones like my Blackberry Z10 do... Yeah, manual is highly recommended. The "intelligent mode" by default when camera function is triggered, gives too much enhancement on the pictures that makes the end results too un-natural...
On battery heating... it is common with SONY phones, so as others from other brands, should a user keep the radio/connection channels go on doing other activities, such as gaming, media playback, network sharing, bluetooth music play... It's normal. I had the phone played a full length movie last night, in the end, the heat... or should i say the warmth is roughly about 32*c, which is about the kind of armpit warmth of an active adult.
Battery... i couldn't comment yet, since i had just got the phone last night. But when the set was unboxed at the retailer's counter, sim inserted, engaged to GSM network, after payment played a movie, till midnight 12++, the battery meter drops from initial 50% till 38% at the point where the movie stopped... I guess i have to do a juice down of the battery power today, recharge it to 100% full, engage 3G connection, do some movie looping... then i can determine how long can the phone last per charge...

Complains? Yeah... Besides i don't like the idea of having non-removable in-built battery, the other biggest gripe i have is the damn glossy back, a damn finger print magnet...

Otherwise, this piece is really a good buy!

AnonD-235063, 08 Jun 2014I am planning to buy the Sony M2 in July.Has anyone bought ... moreI just bought this phone yesterday. It is a decent phone, with NFC and it is very sleek (in my opinion)
The camera is okay, the wifi and network is good (supports LTE for mobile data). However, the ram is only 1gb which makes the phone quite slow and a bit laggy when running high end games. The secondary camera is also a bummer, and lets not forget the speakers. Xperia M2 comes with xLoud features, but personally i think the speaker sounded like they are about to explode any second when set to max with xLoud enabled
