I've been using my Xperia M2 for 2yrs. I find the phone it's quite okay to use but the down side of this is the camera. The camera is very poor in low light area and others.
I'm very disappointed about this phone.

Let be honest! This has to be the best all round smartphone in the world. Even tho it doesnt have flagship specs , i handles everything i throw at it. The ram is good , the camera is averagely-good. Superior Auto mode ruins my pics , so i opt for the manual 4:3 5megapixel for beautiful shots... I have never expienced these heating issues you talk about , unless am using it while it on the charger. Which i hardly do because battery is good , close to kit-kat battery if you know how to tweak your phone like what i did :) And the xperia UI? God , this UI makes other Android UI's look unfinished! Its so addictive , i mean... I DONT THINK I WILL EVER USE ANOTHER ANDROID PHONE besides SONY XPERIA! *Sigh* Man i could do this all day!!! lol... Stop bad mouthing M2 or Xperia phones , they are well built. Some people even think i have a Z something (Mine is white in colour) because of its glossy body. MakeBelieve ☺😉

the camera ain't that good for this phone. pics tend to have an oily surface when zoomed.

this phine I m using for almost 2 years....in one word it is a problemless and at low price in more features.
i love sony cooz its so much beauty as a phne.
the led lights bottom of this phne in this phone is very attractive for me...i love this feature so much.

Hey guys I am a m2 user for months I had been reading opinions and not updating it to 5.1.1 but now I regret it
This cell phone has become a speed beast after updating I opened 18 apps and it didnt even showed a sign of slowing down and it is a phone worth having

Good phone but overheats alot, speakers clod easily and are low on volume. Front camera would have been better.
Sony, if you would make phones with big screens and not so much of a big body that would be nice. Too much space is wasted at the top & bottom. If was expanded, this M2 Aqua would be a 5" screen.

This is a good budgeted phone. But the selfie cam is the worst ever. Also this has a heating problem.

Are you talking about the first update to lollipop 5.1.1 or the second release with camera and gps fixes?
For me, this phone is great. Yes, it hasn't got the greatest camera in the world but it is a good one and I would love a faster charger and a gyro so that when I play Ingress the screen would automatically turn when I move (compass is not enough to do this on Ingress but it is enough on Google maps).
Word of advice: if I would buy one again, I would go for the 16gb option, not the 8gb.

Camera is very very bad at lollipop. Over sharp, over brightness. Front camera gone so much blurred. How can I fixed this? I already fixed the camera settings, i already reduced the ISO sensitivity. Still the same.

Big gains and losses for this phone. The performance and features (lots!) are mostly very good. The 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU handles most things easily and with good stability. Display is good (albeit slightly dark). Video quality is medium/good but prefers daylight scenes. The downside is the camera feature is poor (Sony cut corners: it's not a true 8MB still camera), and the latest Android release introduces previously non-existent issues regarding even worse camera quality together with a significant increase in battery draw. A shame really, as before the update I was really impressed overall. The device is also a magnet for finger prints etc, you really need a good lint-free cloth. If said problems can be ironed out this phone would be fantastic.

got this phone for my mom's birthday and she loves it! her old phone used to be those type of cellphones from like i don't know the 90s? haha, the phone is nice and so far we haven't experienced any lag or issues! camera quality is decent. And I Would definitely recommened this for elderly people since the screen is quite big and easy to see and navigate through, and i would also recommened this for people getting their first phone since it's cheap and such a good quality for it's price! :D

Dont buy this phone. My phone got hardbrick problem. And now totally dead because service center said that IC got serious problem. So they won't replace my machine because it s not covered by my warranty. I think that is manufacturer problem because i never root my phone even unlock bootloader. Sony now unlike sony ericsson !

TO downgrade try youtube for the process - you need flashtool and the original rom.
Upgrade to 5 stops a lot of things working like GPS
Unsure if to buy sony again due to upgrade issues and no support.
