I bought this fone a week back.. The reason; similar specs, looks like Z3, great processor, adequate ram, amazing camera, battery life, and all the good things.
The build quality is good,many think i am using z3 which makes me feel happy, screen looks awesome in any condition, tried using it in rain and it responded as usual, processor and ram handles everythg perfectly this means multitasking is never a issue and not even lags. Gaming, palyed asphalt 8,sims city,brother in arms 2,N.O.V.A and many others with smooth FPS and no lags, Camera is amazing, rare functions too good and there are plenty of settings to play with so once u understand them then u become a pro. front facing is too good and take amazing clear pictures even in low light conditions. 16gb is adequate for apps, i have inserted a 128 ultra sd and it supports well also gives good speed.
Just few drawbacks as all fones have, Heats up if u use too much like for heavy gamers will find it pretty hot, even while browsing u will feel the heat. if u try to talk on fone after this there will be lil discomfort caused by the heating. battery life, u need to keep a watch on the background apps which eat alot of juice (the antivirus or messaging apps). OTG is still to arrive..
I dunno y my fone is finding it difficult to focus on macro objects, i need to be distant for the subject to focus on the it which pulls down the detail and quality. Tired different settings but no progress (if any1 with the same prob or solution pls reply or is this a defect)
overall its a good buy at this price range. Had compared Samsung A7 and HTC desire 826, and this one was the choice for me.. I am satisfied with my fone and i am sure sony will improve on the negative points we M4 aqua users are facing. Good luck buyers and enjoy..

I got this phone and it has faulty mic
heating up problem is theer but not to that extent, blame 615chipset
visited Sony center, they were already aware if mic problem, most of these model have mic issues
replacement awaited

i bought M4 Aqua Dual last week in India for Rs.21.5k. i am in Love with this phone. The material / design is superb & too attractive. Many people asks about the phone & this is what you expect generally.It works too smooth. Feel is rich. After continuous use of internet & camera, it gets hot on upper backside. but no worry - i simply wash it out with water in a wash basin and it gets cool. i suggest to buy this. go ahead.

AnonD-344532, 23 Jun 2015Have you ever seen a phone switching off while on charging ... moreHi George, the same happened to me. i resolved it by myself. i transfer some apps from my old xperia m dual to m4 aqua by xperia transfer. and the issues started. later discoverd that the prob is with clean master where there was no default list in ignore list. I just uninstall and reinstall it. the issue resolved. so just check any cleaning app or antivirus app for solution.

Alright guys....
here's the solution for Sony Xperia M4.
Since u guys knew is a snap dragon octa core processor... and also while playing game or usage of camera will heat up soon and dats the reason its waterproof...when ever it gets heated just place it under running water.

Have you ever seen a phone switching off while on charging because of battery low, If not go ad buy Sony M4 Aqua. I Bought Sony M4 on 19/06/2015 and I have to rush to service center on the very second day. Worst phone. The company guaranteed for two days battery backup but the batter lasts for only 8 hours. On the same day phone hanged very badly and the battery was 15 % which comes down to 5% within 15 minutes and then switching off immediately. The phone didn't start immediately until unless the battery charges for 5%. The batter charges 10% in an hour and discharges 5% just in 15 minutes. What a phone and the story doesn't ends here the phone heat up so badly that u cant put it near to ear and if you do so u might got hurt.

OK i have this phone for a week now. So far i have two MAJOR problems.
1. The ringtone (sound) for incoming phonecalls suddenly stopped working. Only the vibration worked. It started working again after a restart. This happend twice in a week.
2. Today the screen suddenly doesnt switched on , although the phone was switched on (the light on the upper right corner was blinking). I tried to make a call at the phone but it seemed like it was off.
I had to reset it through the "reset button" (inside microsd slot)
So far NO GOOD.

Open micro sd slot and with a pin push the reset button. Then switch on the phone using the usual method.
