to Pavel NY,
Could you pleas post your experience with this phone. I want to switch to either T or TX from my current Arc S.
I love Arc S , it suits all my needs , except 3G. I am on Simple Mobile, so surfing net on EDGE speed.
I am torn between new SimpleMobile capable T/TX phone or waiting till SimpleMobile transition its 3G network to 2100Mhz .

t-rex, 20 Oct 2012auto focus video mode at low light is so damn worst... no t... moreAcro S HD video has too many skipped frames, the videos are choppy even when theres no fast action in the picture. And lacking in detail.
My Note II have deliciously nice and smooth HD videos, much better, but using the photo compare tool the Note II does not match the Acro S level of detail in stills. However i think the video quality of Note II makes up for it, and its not like anyone is gonna notice the difference ever.
I am happy i didnt wait for Sony to get their finger out from youknowwhere, at 30,880 phil pesos the Note II was well worth it. After a few days youll get tired of Samsungs many useless features but the regular stuff is still covered for the most part, there is enough substance under all the useless things.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2012Why would Sony wait so long before making it available in p... moreYeah I agree with you buddy. Sony is releasing their flagships very late. Although they are great phones but only during the announcements and once released they are already kind of outdated.
We are talking about Android here the competition is very high, others are already using quad core S4 Kraits while Sony is still in dual core with the same release date of the quad cores. And now rumors are flying with the next Sony flagships with quadcore and it might take more than a year to release it maybe last month of 2013 to early 2014.

Why would Sony wait so long before making it available in philippines? They will launch TX here when its already outdated? Who will buy it then?
Availability is important. I bought Galaxy Note II yesterday, i tried it and liked it and then i had an impulse. Now i can just as well wait for the Sony Odin or Yugo now (Yugo will have a Wacom digitizer stylus, hence the name that has a loose reference to japanese calligraphy). Bye bye TX.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2012The good thing about the TX is that it has a removable batt... moreA much better model for Asian markets.
*Removable battery +
*Lanyard slot + most people in Asia use these. Not really important in the US when I was there.
*Camera button + Something Samsung, LG and Apple does not put in their current phones.
All these features seem to be lost since the iphone came out. It is good to see that some manufacturers still have them for those who want them. :)

Anonymous, 17 Oct 2012I can buy Acro S now and TX in a month without any consider... morewell It's your choice, for me I have to consider were my money's worth, I'm just a student :). and just a suggestion, If your gonna buy acro S "now" and buy tx when availble, don't forget xperia V or the next xperia jelly bean is also a choice when it comes you might wanna jump over tx. :) and BTW it's not the camera that sucks, it's sony's overcompression. iP5's cam is made by sony but got better pic quality.

hey, 17 Oct 2012if you haven't bought anything yet, you might want to wait ... moreI can buy Acro S now and TX in a month without any considerable financial loss, i think.
What bothers me is that Acro S has so much better camera, if we judge the TX by the reviews of the Xperia T. Also the videos shot with TX was bad, but then Acro S didnt excel in video recording either, we just have to admit that Samsung is way ahead of Sony in video rec.
TX: Slim, superior performance
Acro S: Great camera, waterproof, extremely solid.

Quadcore is overkill for a phone.
unless if you wanna play hardcore 3d games on such small devices. better buy a tablet for that..
