Every phone review here is commented by some no sense "engineer". If you don't like don't buy it, it's easy. If someone know better go work for them, don't comment unnecessary here. Every brand trying to be best on it's own way. Brand who can make something for everyone doesn't exist.

Also, stretching the battery that much isn't good. Plug your phone when it's at 5% and then unplug it when it's at 100% isn't good. A quick top up that would fill up your battery a 20 or a 30% more is the best short and long term solution, that would also help your battery life hold for longer.
If you know your average screen on time, what's the point in testing it everyday? Besides, I have two phones (personal and work) so I can alternate in case of a low battery.

Think about it, if you use the battery less than 5~30% you can do the fully charging every night and next day get a 100% battery every morning and without bring the power bank for fulfilling the massive battery capacity in the smartphone. Remember Qnovo battery charging technology prolong the battery lifespan, you can have longer lifespan on your sealed battery and keep the same usage hour after several years.

The fact is that 3000-3500 is the usual on flagships these days but remember, this is a 4K screen, slightly hungrier than average. The XZ Premium had a not very durable battery so that's my point.

Too expensive, ridiculously heavy -- 236 grams!! No thanks. I wouldn't buy a phone that was more than 180 grams. I value compactness over a load of gimmicky features that I may never use. Sony has finally started to trim down it's large bezels only to undo this advantage by adding excessive weight. They must think that bigger is better!

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2018Whats is the likeness of you dipping your phone underwater?... moreyou do know the top 3 reasons for phone damage is, physical damage (cracked screen/dropping), water damage and being stolen.
Each manufacturer strengthens the screen and case to try avoid damage from external forces. Each phone has an IMEI and locators to help prevent theft. I would expect there would be some safety net for water damage, hence the IP ratings. Having your own view is fine but the way you rationale it is wrong. By your reasoning, there is no point having scratch resistant screens because everything is just 'pure idiocy of a user...'.

The bezels are ridiculous. It's a phablet even by 2018 standards. Therefore it won't sell well. Also Sony always hypes thr camera and then on real life upon release it's rubbish.

It left in April, announced for June, then for July: Is it the launch of a smartphone, or is it the game of cat and mouse, or the one of Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf?
