But apart from that i havent much in a phone to watch.
For a movies i use my notebook.
Small screen is bad for watching movies.
For that case seeing youtube videos is more than enough.

    But seeing me walking towards the streets hearing music is much more rare than winning a jackpot in lottery.

For instance, taking a picture or record a video and save it on an SD card would be better because you will have enough internal storage for other apps. Even though I'm a bit disappointed about the whole no headphone jack, Sony at least kept the whole expandable storage which is nice

            And the headphones! Man you're just really one of the rare ones. Never used a headphone? Do you ever enjoy listening to music?

              Anonymous, 12 Nov 2018Yeah, my analogy wasn't the best, but you do get the idea. ... moreIn my opinion, waterproof is a very important feature, it help to protect your device from water damage, especially nowadays flagships selling price is insanely high so it must have extra protection, the internal storage full of photos and must be protected, so waterproof is important because you can't know when will the phone splash by water just like when will you drop the phone on floor.
              2nd. The waterproof & dustproof ensure the device have best durability for longer lifespans.
              3rd. The smartphone is full of bacteria and sometimes have grease in lifetime usage, waterproof smartphone let you clean it with water and the dustproof protect the phone inside from harmful dirt.

                        Phone dont need to be waterproof. Nobody swim everyday. And most people dont bring their phone while swimming. Even while raining all people always put their phone inside bag, they never use it while raining because they never let it wet.

                          Much like airbags, water resistance in phones can also be considered a safety feature. I know many people who got their phones water damaged due to rain, and some who accidentally dropped their phone in water. There are also a lot of people who use their phones in pools, for them also water resistance is essential.

                              I just got my phone yesterday and I'm completely wowed by it.
                              I did turn side sense off because it's not very convenient to use and honestly, it's just not needed. but apart from that, this phone beats the shit out of iphone, hands down. It's just super fast. The screen is friggin amazing. this phone is a completely new class of phone - for sony and generally.

                                In case of earphones i never used them.
                                Carrying Moto X4 and never used earphones.
                                Before had Lenovo Vibeshot and never used earphones.
                                Even before had Huawei Y5 and never used earphones.
                                Since 1996 i got my first phone i never used earphones.
                                They are not essential. Air to breath fresh oxygen is essential but not jack.
                                And for those which going to towns to bars and pubs to drink like their fathers i reccomend keep phone at home. Theses people can drown even an IP69 phone.

                                  That's why some of people still prefer Samsung and Sony rather than your beloved Chinese phones. They provide budget price but they don't provide the essential features. Btw microSD card slot and audio jack are most welcomed, sounds better if it had right?

                                  It's not about weather to determined the usage of water resistance. What if you spilled your drinks undeliberately on your phone, how could it survive?

                                    Yes I know Samsung has SD card slot too, but I have chosen Sony back in 2013, and I like what Sony's doing right now, so I may as well stick with them.

Ppeople always complain about jack water resista... moremicro sd card provide you a very good alternative for data storage. it is very small and hardly get damaged unlike internal storage. lets say your phone got shattered by force, it would be much easier to retrieve data from micro sd than internal storage. micro sd resist EM wave and salt water quite well compare to internal storage. Lets say you stuck in an isolated place and dying, it is better to record your final words in micro sd than internal because it is more robust.

                                        For flashing ROM, micro sd can act as your back up system and u dont need cloud storage or computer to back up your data. Plus it is easy to transfer data from 1 phone to another. Just dismount and mount.

                                        For 3.5 jack, i still need it because my car audio play with aux port, without it i have to buy a bluetooth receiver, or change my audio player to bluetooth enabled. But in my working place i prefer bluetooth over wired.

                                        I am not sure why they want to throw away those features that are still useful like FM radio, 3.5mm jack, micro sd, dual sim, removable batteries, IR blaster and so on. All of those features is very useful to me. Is a shame that my previous phone galaxy note 4 is the phone with all the features and only short of dual sim.
