One more thing. If sony will add a feature XTended Reality display like their recent Bravia TV's in their phone displays. Then no doubt, sony will excel in the mobile market. Otherwise, it will be a disaster and the more they will slide down.

Almost all my phone are sony except Z3.... Speaking of Z3, at the time of production, 2k display resolution was on the trend, but sony defended that 1080p against the 2k is hardly noticeable with this size of screen. But how can you change the mindset of the people? That's the trend, then ride with it, otherwise you loose and thats what happened. Hoping Z4 will go along with the recent trend or even more. Then i'll buy one.... One more thing my TV is 4k and if 1080p images is displayed in it it's blured... You must consider also that 8k display now entered the TV market. Possibilities are 2k and 4k will also be outdated....

For the proof, you would refer to the enormous number of benchmarks that put Sony Z3 at the top regarding to these three important factors. In term of performance, Sony Z3 has not been regarded as the best phone by all benchmarks but the significant number of them.

Note that Apple, Samsung, HTC and even the new Huawei are already dominating the market.... The thing with sony is that they are not pleasing customers' desire. Mostly people's comments and recommendations including myself are the bezels on top and bottom making their phone too bulky compared to the others. Again, considering that sony had made an excellent work starting from Z2, but bezels are still there and its too promiment. Too odd to see.... Look, iPhone and Samsung S5 can't be compared with Z2 or Z3 for color reproduction, camera, built, sound quality but except bezels. As if sony's reply to people's comments and recommendations is "NO, WE WILL NOT DO IT, THATS WHAT WE WANT AND LIKE, YOU BUY IPHONE, SAMSUNG, HTC, ETC....". That's why Sony failed in the market. Look again in S4. Samsung managed to fool people by introducing new "TECHNOLOGY" (but can never be used) smart scroll etc.... and the good thing is that the capacitive bottons are in the bezel itself making the phone very nice, MINIMALIST and impressive but don't start the phone. I have that phone and I was fooled also.... Octa Core (collection of outdated processors), blackish display, plastic/non-premium built, low resolution camera, etc.. So sony have to mind customers a little bit...... Make your phone minimalist. Further enhance sound quality, deeper blacks (not the white led as it produces washed-out or whitish display on images) in the display and dont fool people by your xreality engine or vivid display as there is no difference if these features were switched-off.

but I agree on what you said, it's stupid to say that the device is bad overall for just one thing.

I think they should've released it at MWC and then go with one flagship a year policy. Because according to the rumours it will come with snapdragon 810. Exactly what the htc m9 and Samsung s6 would come with. Still gonna wait for the z4c though.

Sony has cancelled their live stream and all. Is there still a chance that it might be announced at the MWC? I need a phone, I was waiting for the z4c

I agree, IR blaster should be there. And since we all don't know if Sony is gonna release the Z4, we must think that if Sony doesn't release the Z4 in March, the public will lose interest in the Z3 because of the Galaxy s6. So if I were Sony I would release the Z4, and Z4 Compact in March and then release Z5 in March 2016.

And I'm not a troll just because I'm honest, hell I'll maybe buy z4 as my 1st ever smartphone (if it can beat my w995 all round).
What I'm stating here is unfortunately a fact, if you google "sony bankruptcy 2014" you'll read numerous sites that mention that sony is failing year after year in smartphone business.
It's not me that woke up one day and said "I hate sony and they are failing"
My phone is Sony Ericsson W995, and it's 5 years old, and it's a sony device if I'm not mistaken. That shows how much I'm attached to it. It's with me since 5 years ago after all.
I really hope that Z4 will beat my w995 all round, something that I doubt.. but one can hope.
