The longest 4K recording you can do with the Z3+ with the latest software update is 30mins but only if you use internal memory as storage (using micro sd causes the devices to heat a lot faster). However I strongly not recommending 4K for daily recordings because you're gonna miss the awesome SteadyShot that is available when recording in 1080p.

I am using these mobile from past one year with no issues, it's heating up, dont worry wont be into flames like samsung galaxy note 7.
Xperia z3+ has octacore processor and due to snapdragon 810 its heating up

Daily use is very smooth, gets around 5 hours of daily SOT (4 hrs with heavier use), it's still heats during heavy workload but the so called "overheating" issue starts to fade away with every day passed (not sure how but it isn't as hot as it used to during the first week of usage).
XZ is undoubtedly the best you can get from Sony right now but currently you'll have to pay for the full launch price. A Z3+ dual only costs me $290 brand new last month and I wouldn't pass such bargain (and it's worth it), plus it will get Nougat anyway.

I've compared this phone with z2,z3 and z5 and it's heating capability is tremendous and also batt drain so fast,Even i updated it to marshmallow still no avail. I think this phone now is phased out here in UAE.

It has been a very reliable smartphone so far... Excellent camera in 8mp superior mode, low audio quality from loud speaker,processor warms up quite faster and cools down faster, perfect build you won't go wrong with it
