Been using Sony Z3 Dual Sim for about 10 months now, all is good except lately loud speakers aren't working properly. Ringing tone and media noise is very low, even though volume is kept at maximum!!!.

i lost my trust in Snapdragon after these rumors were actually true. if it was not true then why they are making a new version of the same chip, admit it and get back to work.
Snapdragon is very overpriced, i think the flagship phone makers will now look towards Intel, mediatek for better processors

from those i read about, well mine still heat up after update, jus saying. well for me i dont care, but couple of years now with only sony, n wondering does other brands heats up too. so i guess in the future "no heat" will be an advantage to say about a phone tat they would put for specs. hehe. Anyways the next phone addition i would have to get cus might have Qi charge.. is tat when heat is needed or something idk how it works.

I have a couple of Q's th... moreHello David, in response to your first question you are correct if your only using one SIM you can use any one of the carrier technologies As long as the band is supported supported. For the profile question you can have up to 5 profiles on Lolipop if I'm not mistaken, this is a feature from the OS itself so you don't need to have a dual SIM phone to have your 2 separate accounts.

AnonD-158870, 15 Jul 2015fantastic phone
But only one problem if you start the vid... moreIndeed, it's a fantastic phone.
Regarding the overheating issue, you need to first update to the latest system software Sony began rolling out recently. Then the overheating issue will go away.
But, like any other phone (for now), if you want to film in 4K, you need to record shorter segments to avoid the auto-shutdown feature. Then, when the phone's temp is restored, record another segment in 4K. If you do not really need 4K, go to the settings and set the video quality to Full HD and enjoy filming for longer durations of time.
Cheers.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2015Sony xperia z3+ is better or LG g4 and Samsung galaxy s6Definitely Z3+ (do not forget to update the system software after you purchase the device to resolve the Snapdragon 810 overheating issue)
I have test-handled all three devices you mentioned. The Xperia Z3+ has a better build quality and design than S6 in terms of the ease of handling and hanyness. But it is almost in par with LG G4 in terms of materials used but again lighter, slimmer, and faster than LG G4.
The Galaxy S6 is very attractive when it comes to beauty but as soon as you consider the build quality and the ease of handling, it does not give you the sense of a premium device. It has a couple of sensors though (which Sony does not have and I will never need them because I use smartbands to sync with my phone). So, if you really cannot live with those sensors, go for S6.

AnonD-418526, 17 Jul 2015I've been thinking of a Dual SIM phone solution for a long ... moreThanks for the info, Mannygoalie! I have a couple of Q's though.
1. I am currently using one LTE simcard on the SIM1 slot and the other is empty. But it is still working with the operator. So, there's no MUST for having the GSM capability, right? P.S. You were correct though about the APN settings having to be configured manually or through the push configuration settings you ask for on the operator's website.
2. What happens if you have two email accounts (work/personal) and want to use both on the Lollipop through the profile feature? Can you have two profiles for one person on a single SIM?
Thanks.

I bought the phone and before updating to the latest software it used to become very hot. Now that I have installed the update, it's working without any overheating issue. So, do yourslef a favour and instead of recommeding others not buy it, update your software and enjoy this beauty.

I've been thinking of a Dual SIM phone solution for a long time and Finally Decided to get the Z3+ Dual, I was somewhat disappointed at the beginning as it wasn't easy to get it to work with Dual functionality, no fault of the phone however just a lack of understanding and reading proper information. After trial and error and lots of reading, here are some key things you might already know but I didn't so hopefully it well help others.
First you need at least one of your providers to be a GSM provider.
Basically you can have GSM & GSM, WCDMA/LTE & GSM, WCDMA & GSM, but you can't have both SIM as something other than GSM.
Second if you have the same model in your country don't assume the Dual SIM model will pickup the APN settings automatically, What I mean is I have a single SIM Z3 and when i use my NANO SIM it automatically updated the APN settings, however this didn't happen when inserting the same SIM in the Z3+ Dual, once configured all good.
The added feature of multiple users on Lollipop has made this even more worth wild as now i can have both work and personal lines in one device, while using the native email, calendar, contact clients specific to each profile without them interacting with each other. Hope this helps some of you out there to make a better decision.
