All the people who have received the kitkat update today in India, how's the phone doing after the update, any severe battery drains and other relevant problems associated with that .230 firmware?? By the way is it the .230 or .233 firmware that you all got?

Got kitkat update [OTA], India, Hyderabad, but the firmware number is 10.5.A.0.230, the buggy version. So should I update to it or wait for the .233 version??

I purchased Xperia ZL C6530 from Muscat on 10th Apr 2014. In Mid of May my mobile gone dark. Its a battery problem. Within 3 days service center people replaced with new battery on my mobile.
After receiving my mobile I updated with kitkat 4.4.2.
Now it's rocks with new C6503_10.5.A.0.230_BR kitkat 4.4.2.

C6503_10.5.A.0.230_BR kitkat 4.4.2 is included with Telugu, Marati, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada languages also.
There is no Arabic Language in this version.

C6503_10.5.A.0.230_BR kitkat 4.4.2 manually updated with flashtool in my Xperia ZL C6503. Working awesome.
Its Brazil released official one. Xperia ZL released as ZQ in Brazil Its Same C6503 Model.

This is my first & last ever mobile phone from SONY.
I’ve purchased Xperia ZL (White) & within a month I’ve to give it to Service Center for its Loudspeaker problem & only to know that it can not be repaired at any service center and I had given a refurbished (Black) ZL after 1 month & so much of follow-up.
No proper response from Service Centers/Call Center.

These post were good information at one time, But now it's only Marketing gimmicks that competition posts, to steer you away from Sony Xperia cell phones!
I have purchased several and. Quality and Reliability are Excellent, do Not believe these foolish. Posts!!!

last n8 i've seen an option in my mobile.. wid that option mic started working bit ok..
go to setting and find call setting..
in that u can see tty mode and mic suppress mode..
un tick mic supres mode and dont know about tty mode..
hope u vl satisfy a bit wit these settings..

My xperia ZL is with technocare sony repair centre at lajpat nagar since 18 june 2014. It is really really sad to know that z-series phones cannot be repaired and have to be replaced if there's any hardware fault. I didn't knew it at the time of buying.
Reading your comments, I am worried as to what is going to happen with me now... since ZL is discontinued, are they going to replace my ZL with any other refurbished phone. How much more time is it gonna take. Actually I loved my xperia ZL very much...just a microphone problem and now I think I have lost it forever.

guys plz dont buy sony xperia phones ever in ur life bcoz they are not repairable u have to replace ur phone in case of any smallest problem i have sony xperia zl i had mic problem in it i thought its an small problem and it will be done in 2or 3 days but sony service centre executive said we have to swap ur piece and u will get new piece after 25 days i said cant u repair my phone bcoz its just an mic problem then he said sony xperia z ,zl, z1,z1 mini, z2, z ultra, t2 ultra none of any or any other water proof or non water proof sony phones are not repairable we have to replace ur phone if u had any ptoblem in it....it wont cost u if ur phone in under warranty but if ur phone is out of warranty then u have to pay for the replacement phone i bought Sony xperia zl in 35000 and sony xperia executive said that i have to pay 23000rs again for the same phone if my phone is out of warranty guys thinks twice before u deside to buy shit Sony xperia phones
