Adding to what benjamin said about ZL's pros over Z, please note the following also.
1. Big hidden difference is the screen. The screens are not the same. ZL screen is much brighter, contrast ratio is significantly more and specially the sunlight legibility is close to HTC one. Please go through review of both here in GSM arena and you will know.
2. ZL has an IR bluster which can be easily programmed for any type of electronic device like TV, AC, DVD, SAtelite BOX so on. Z dont have this.Note this is a hardware and can not be downloaded.
3. It has a dedicated camera shutter key, which Z dont have. It can be long pressed to start camera anytime without unlocking the screen. Thats what required when you need to capture something fast
Although it was mainly its high compactness & high screen to phone ratio for which i love it & can use as regular usable phone.

Ts like comparing a hyundai with Merc... Sme models may ave d same spec look good too but still the name will do the talking... So my friend be wise to bring up a decent name in fornt of big flapship companies...

I bought xperia zl on 10 Dec from Amazon to USA address but using it in middle east. I didn't get.4.3 update till now. Has any got the update either.in USA or in Middle east?

After upgrading from 4.2.2 to 4.3, my phone has slowed down a lot and the battery drops faster than the older version under the same operating conditions. Not much of an improvemtn at all. Hope we can upgrade to Kit kat to resolve these issues

Hands down the best phone I've owned so far. It's not waterproof but honestly who gives a shit.

I never saw any problem in my Sony Xperia ZL.
My Sony Xperia ZL is working fine even after updating to Android 4.3 Jellybean.

I had some problem regarding to my phone after officially update from android 4.2 to android 4.3 which seem make my wechat application and some more to not responding.. When I want to take photo, its hard to launch camera application.. and overall my phone become slower.. What should I do n how to deactivate camera app at lock screen.. thanks :) sorry for my English...

Sony Lover, 20 Jan 2014I am totally confused.Which one should I buy Sony Xperia Z ... more- I don't see the need for me to carry a water and dust proof phone.
- A very compact 5 inch phone. It's even smaller in dimensions as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.8 inch)
- Cheaper than Xperia Z.
- ZL has a better very nice back cover. Very nice to hold on to your phone.
- ZL is not available in Singapore's telcos. Thus, I have seen people using Xperia Z, Z1, Z Ultra. And I hvae not seen anyone with a Xperia ZL, which is some kind of uniqueness since I'm using ZL.
- Great device for daily usage.
- Battery wise, it's best to bring an usb cable or charger. If not, switch off wi-fi and data when not in use.

I am totally confused.Which one should I buy Sony Xperia Z OR Sony Xperia ZL? Tell me guys, why did you choose Sony Xperia ZL instead of Sony Xperia Z? Sony Xperia Z is water proof but Sony Xperia ZL is not??
I heard that Sony Xperia Z's audio,ringing & voice loudness is less than Sony Xperia ZL? Is that the only reason?What are things better than Sony Xperia Z on this device?? Advise me plzzzz!! Thanks in advance!!!

As for the camera, I've got to agree with you. I have to use 9mp for a longer ratio photo. Even though ZL camera is 13mp, I would say that it's not the best when compared among its fellow competitors.
The images somehow lack the details and slightly blurry when just zoom in a little.

Ph... moreBtw i forgot to mention about the camera which is extremely pissed now the way it looks its cool but there is a compromise which im not ok at all tat is the superior auto mode is now at a max pixel of 9 oly are you kidding sony. Why are you doing dis it was much betta in 4.2.2 cuse tat tym t was 12 nw instead of 13 instead of optimising it you made it to 9 wats on sony mind i dont know now with this 9mp supr mode i took indoor pics and found out that it had more noises than b4 Superior 12mp.I am truly upset im just goin to continue for a couple of days to see whether der r ne updates for these bugs if sony arent sending dem im goin back to 4.2.2 they wer more godly.I will not compromise for looks cause my prime importance is batry nd performance.Hopefully sony sees this and gives a proper reply with an update.
