If you have not rooted your device than a simple tip is to "Uncheck Always on Mobile Data"
Setting>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Always connect to Mobile.
What do you loose after you uncheck this option
- Push mail from the gmail app when your
phone is on standby
- Google talk messages when your phone is
on standby.
What does this setting do ?
- It disconnects you from the mobile data
when phones goes into standby but the
Once you unlock your phone you get all your mails notification in the notification bar or you can refresh your gmail app or any other app which requires data for getting updates, kind of poll mechanism.
I do know it defeats the purpose of smartphone of not getting push mails but if thats the case than root your device and look out for options that will help you get an imporved battery life without affecting your push mails and other service widgets. I am sure you will find it, since that is the advantage of open source software.

Setting>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode> GSM Only
What will this setting do ?
This setting is recomended for Edge data you will not have access to 3g Network
but will save you good amount of battery.

hey this phone's battery is really good stand for 2 nd a half hour nd still is more then 35%. just the diff is I keep Data enble option on off

hey i wanted to knw abt the battery life...as im reading very diferent comments abt it ..some ppl state tht their fone works for around 2 to 3 days with this battery..and some hv compplained tht it works less thn 6 to 7 HOURS...plz help me , i need ur opinions as im buying this phone :)

Is it true that the color depth is only 256K, while its "brother" Huawei X6 is 16M colors? Anybody can help to answer? I'm going to buy this one.

It won't work with mobile data. Once u have set it up using wifi, then in future u can use mobile data to activate it and use it.

Can u let us know what configuration u have done on your phone(lie, have u installed any specific app to manage ur battery life).The Other Spice MI 410 users with a very optimum usage of the phone i.e no wifi, no GPS,Display down to Zero are getting an average of only 14 to 24 hours of battery life.. How come u r getting 2 days.. Please let us know...

1)how is the touch response 2)how much internal memory does it have exactly 3)does the phone stucks r restarts at any time 4)can we use internet on pc by connecting to the phone 5)How is the video clarity of the phone does it record in hd r not 6)how much downloading speed r u getting by using internet 7)can u make video calls 8)r u able to download android applications 9)can u upgrade to latest versions.
Pls reply me correctly who have used it.
Pls if i spend money on dis and if it is not good at its features then i cannot afford another one.

APN you have configured gives you access only to http port 8080 & not all the ports. Usually when to talk to customer care executives they will give WAP setting but you need to get the correct APN for Edge which is different from the WAP APN.
Its mostly useless talking to customer care execs as most of them have no idea about the correct internet setting. Suggest you to look for the APN setting for your service provider on the internet and see if it resolves your problem.

Using Spice Mi410 for past 2 wks. Overall good ...but one issue nagginge me. Would appreciate help to solve.
I am unable to connect using the Gmail apps or the android market ...keeps giving error " unable to connect to a reliable data server......this may be a temporary problem or the phone may not be provisioned for data services."
Can't figure out whats wrong. My phone has data services.. infact I can browse internet, even log into my gmail usin the browser.
But Gmail apps or Android market access keep giving error.
So Iam unable to use Google applications and can't access Android market..
Please help if you faced this issue or have a solution. Thanks.

This piece is a piece of cake.But i want to know from the users is it performing well r giving any problems.
I heard that some users r suffering from 1)music, 2)video & 3)camera clarity and also its display is barely visible in sunlight.
Is it correct pls answer .
Pls tell me about other features that they r working good r not.
