Anonymous, 01 Jul 2012this is nice phoneForget extra features. For the same set of features Samsug/HTC would charge us around 20K and not less than that.

Newbie, 01 Jul 2012Hello Guys I have heard that the applications can be moved... moreYou are right. You can install app2sd from android market and then use it to move apps from phone to micro sd. Only issue is, some of the apps dont allow you to be moved to micro sd card. So once you have 10-15 such apps, then you have to be picky about the new applications you install. But most of the games allow you to be installed on micro sd. So if your apps are primarily games, then no issue I feel.

Good dual sim android phone for 9.4k.
                          Pros:-
                          Excellent looks.
                          Good screen size.
                          Good camera clarity.
                          1 Ghz Processor.

                          Cons:-
                          very less internal memory.(149mb)
Video gets recorded only in .3gp.

If upgraded to 4.0 it makes this phone best.
Never compare this big brands(HTC,Samsung,Nokia) as you cant get all specs of this phone in them for 9.4k atleast as on jun-2012

                                20 June 12
                                Good for the price asked
After skipping waiting for the mi-500, went for this one. Had purchased it last week. For the eight grand I paid, it is a decent phone. Camera is ok. The large 4.1" display could have been better (only 256k) though it is not bad by any means. Build quality and feel is great and the UI is snappy though feels a little half-baked at times. If only manufacturers would give stock GB/ICS with their phones.

Should have been shipped with a screen guard. The supplied screen guard has specs printed on it so you have to take it off.

Also, I'm in the market for a cover/case, so looking at other 4.1" phones whose accessories I can use with this one.

Bottom line: Great for your first android phone. Especially for people not wanting to go for puny 2.8, 3, 3.2 inch entry level phones with pathetic resolutions (Yes I'm talking about you, Samsung), this Spice is a very good buy. Waiting for ICS update (as promised)

This phone is awesome. This phone is so packed with features that it gives its competition a run for their money. The pricing is just right under Rs. 10,000. Apps work really well and games like angry birds work just fine. The only problem is that the home screens cannot be viewed using pinch to zoom. But pinch to zoom works really well on web pages. The screen is fine but not brilliant. Youtube videos look nice and clear.

                                  Pros:
                                  Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS
                                  5 MP Primary Camera
                                  0.3 MP Secondary Camera
                                  Dual SIM (GSM + GSM)
                                  4.1-inch Capacitive Touchscreen
                                  1GHz Scorpion Processor
                                  32 GB Expandable.
                                  Good battery Life

                                  Cons:
Screen is not sharp and colours lack depth.
Homescreens cannot be viewed at a single glance.
                                  Only 140mb of internal storage.

Al in all the phone is really nice to use. This is my first Android phone and i'm loving it. If you want this phone, Just go for it. You cant go wrong.

                                      1. while downloading files from internet using master sim, the slave sim goes down, no connectivity and you get no calls to slave sim.... may be vice versa..haven't tried it yet... this is very inconvenient as i miss many important calls coming to my slave sim while browsing internet using master sim.
                                      2. also opening photo gallaries is very slow and annoying though haven't captured many photos.
                                      3. BSE/NSE app is always active which i dont use, kills my RAM.

i bought this phone around a month ago and have been using it without any issues since then, it may be called the poor man's iPhone.
It has got a good size screen and the best part is the battery, 2000 mAh. Lasts you atleast 2 days no matter what you use the phone for, well almost.
for all practical purposes, whats the point of having a mobile device with all the bite if you have to charge it everyday or sometimes may be twice a day.
The spec sheet says 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon, while it may be good on paper, in real life you wont feel too much of a difference having said that it isnt slow either but nothing spectacular either and I am not complaining. All I am saying is that processor is good but nothing out of the world.
I have been using around 25-33% of the RAM under normal circumstances and even while I am multitasking, RAM usage stays below 50%, which is a good thing.
The display is acceptable, it is not super clear like that of an iPhone or so but it is good, you wont be complaining about it.
The only thing which i feel Spice could have done a better job with is the sound output of the phone. The ringer and the speakerphone are a little short of what you would expect from a phone which boasts of many other specifications. The saving grace is that since this is an Android, I was able to download and install a sound booster application which has improved the ringer volume a bit. It is still a wee bit short of what I would have preferred it to be.
To sum it all up, it is a good value for money phone much better than the Samsungs and the HTCs infact I am pleasently surprised by the build quality and the fit and finish of Spice products. Overall, a much recommended buy :)
