My known is having this phablet from last 2 months are he is too happy to have it. Camera battery everything is perfectly working. You can watch video while doing other works yes it works with multiwindow too. Speed is awesome as it is having 1 GB of RAM. If you are going to purchase it than just wait for 15th of march there will be a upgrade of this. Which has the quad core processor and HD screen name is MI 535 you can check this article here

really good phone but major drawbacks are Battery, restart itself because of the software problem, no voice clarity (ears will get heat),no HD screen and finally spice service centers themselves cant understand the problems (poor service)

Hi
I have been using this phone for almost 2 weeks now and it's a great set.. no complaints with screen, camera, voice quality (actually great)... battery would last for at least one day with fairly heavy usage.
One question though... I haven't been able to figure out how to connected the phone with Bluetooth headset... has any one tried that?

Thank you for the answer, it is working. but a small ringtone received through bluetooth - i am not able to set it as ringtone.
By pressing it longer it does not show the option to set as ringtone. it rather marks it for deletion in a checkbox.
Hence i was wondering how to set files as ringtones received via bluetooth.

if you have rooted and installed cwm on this device then most probably u have an idea who i am...
i just want to share my experience with this device....
hope it will help others too....
1st of all this device is the most practically designed handset currently against any device yes a116 too....
best of the best things i liked about this device
1 build quality
2. battery life
3. right balance of everything procesor gpu ram battery capacity
above things are the moat imp features which will keep u sailing in daily and practical use....
one more thing no. of cores doesnt solely determine the performance apps should also be designed to take advantage of all the cores....
cons-
weight is slightly on heavy side....
resolution if u have really very sharp eyes that pixels distract ur concentration.....
now if any1 has got jb please backup ur rom using sp flash tool and upload it......

I just got my Mi 530 upgraded to Jellybean, since then I am not able make call using Skype. During echo testing it says check your microphone settings. This was not happening with ics. Can anybody give a solution to this.

Spice mobility don't waste money on marketing or tv advertisement or anything else....
even the selling rights are not given to other sites like flipkart etc...
thats why popularity is less....
that money which they saved is invested in these types of devices....
if i ask sanjay..
what happened to NOKIA...???

Actually in Pune I got it immediately. Before visiting service ctr I confirmed that the same is available with them.

Your one statement is a complaint about not having reviews on this device, and your second statement is another complaint about people wasting their time writing reviews for just 14K device ? Your two statements are contradictory. Either you should not expect any review or you should not complaint about people providing reviews. :)
Well as you said I am responding to queries raised by others, and I am providing/sharing only facts. I have never shared only positive about this device, I have always shared proven and tested facts. Also I have already shared negative about this device, I think you have skipped that part.
About not having good reviews / videos, there was one similar query raised by one member. In response to this I have shared few links, that reviews this device. Also if you refer my earlier comment you will find we have discussed this as well. For not having good Reviews/Coverage/Publicity, there could be several factors involved like other manufacturers are having aggressive marketing / commercial tie up / advertisement etc. over Spice. I don't know the exact reason.
Well about pricing I personally prefer quality, and people visiting this page are very well aware about the pricing. HD Screen, No Of Cores, are not the only factor that decides its price worthiness. According to me several additional features and its quality is worth for the price. Few people may think it is expensive and they are free to take their decision. There are several cheap products available in the market.
Well, GSM Arena Popularity rating is calculated by no of visits/comments posted on the page. Go to Micromax Canvas HD A116 page, you will find almost 70% comments are about shipment delays, delivery issues, unavailability, different online shopping websites, etc. Are these comments related to the device function/usability etc. In remaining 30% you will have comparison between different devices, reviews from happy customers and reviews by unsatisfied/unhappy customers. This huge active posting makes this device popular, but is this popularity does have any direct effect on device performance/usability etc. ? Also overall rating of Canvas HD A116 is 7.30 and Spice MI530 is 7.13. Well I would like to mentioned that I was very much interested with Canvas HD A116 mainly because of popularity and marketing (reviews), but finally after detailed comparison bought Spice Stellar Pinnacle MI530, and very happy with the package, and my decision. :) If you wish to refer comparison between these two kindly refer my earlier post.

can I upgrade my mi 530 to jellybean in service centre at jalandhar Punjab.?I reply myself and anser is NO.For the last 10 Days I contacted on mobile as we'll as personnel going but one excuse or the other they returned me teling upgrade files r not complete.I emailed to customer care Spice but they did not send me the download link instead sent the mail to serv centre and tHEY were anoyed.Now I left the idea to upgrade.I STRONLY TEL MY FRIENDS NOT TO BUY THIS SPICE MI530 IF THEY PURCHASE THEY SHOULD FORGET ITS UPGRADE.ALL COS R GIVING UPGRADE IN THE AIR.BEING SENIOR CITIGEN I HAVE BECOME FADUP WITH THE AFTER PURCHASE SURVICES OF SPICE COY.
