Hai..I am from Kerala, where this mobile is not yet launched and we are expecting this phone by last week of Feb-2013. before that, somebody please help me by giving reply for following doubts.
1. how is the screen viewing angles/screen brightness/ sun light visibility.
2. battery back up for how much days( I make calls for 1hr to 1.5hrs daily)
3. how is display clarity when compared with Galaxy S-2(I lost my S-2 in my train journey to my college at Erode, Tamil Nadu)
4. ringing sound. higher ring volume is a MUST for ladies, because we keep mobile in our bags/purses
5. internet speed in 2G connection
6. GPS locating/google maps
7. office applications like word, excel etc
8. AUTO call recording without BEEP
9. whether the "USB on the go" is working properly? whether it reads "pen drives" up to 32GB?
10.what about video and still photography?

In the end everyphone is Made in China and Assembled here or even that process might be there to reduce the Cost!!.
Hardware is what you need to concentrate, the Mediatek device is pretty cheap and gives almost better results when compared to a Tegra 2 or Qualcomm, or Snapdragon processors.. its proved by Quadrant. Hence these Low cost Manufacturers are preferring Mediatek to provide us phones at this price!!.. Had they choosen the later, then they would have to be upwards of 25K too..
The other price factor is the Display, the Better the display(AKA AMOLED > LED >QHD > LCD ) , the pricier it is!..
So comparing Micromax to Spice, Both are low cost manufacturers,trying to get into the niche market with Bigger Displays with smarter configuration.
The longetivity of phones depend on how you use it, how rugged you push the phone, ie Do you drop the phone, How do you Charge/Discharge the phone.
Softwares load/modify/Delete.
So invariably every phone manufacturer wants devices to be used for less time, and new phones to be utilized!.. So each phone has shelf life of 12 months- 36 months... Some good care taken phones can last upto 5-6 years too!!.. Depends on how you take care of your jewel!..
If you notice no Manufacturer gives Hardware Warranty after 12 months, so they are pretty much sure that the hardware cant last for rugged use after that!!.. So My sincere advise is buy based on Config, need, Price!!.. take good care, and regardless of MM or Spice the phone should Last!! 18 months ..

Hey Akash,
Can you check the SIM, if its correctly seated, also try changing it to the other SIM slot and retry .
Also if possible test with another SIM of another person, to see if its to do with SIM??
Once you have isolated that its not a SIM problem. Then the wise thing to do is to take it to the Service Centre.
The issue could be with the different GSM spectrums the phone is trying to connect with the way its Configured.
Between, Mine is a Airtel India SIM, so its not giving any such Problems.

i got this phone a week back n i m facing n issue
When i call or get a call i m not able to listen properly the other person n nor is he when i m speaking so basically both parties get distorted voice with lot of disturbance.
Is anyone else also facing this issue of voice clarity during call?????

The box contains a flip flap hard shell Leather cover. Not that gr8. but does the job seamlessly. comes with a screenguard too!!! though that too covers only the screen and exposes the black covering beside!!

Bro does excel,word n pdf files open on this set? Does it support multi-touch screen? I hv frnds that say that micromax canvas 2 is far better than this one, and micromax company is lot better than spice. They say that spice phones dont last a year and are sometimes needed to get repaired every 2 months although same is true for micromax also but they insist i should go for micromax. I m totally confused whom to believe. Please tell me how is this phone and spice company. Does it have any better features than micromax a110 canvas2 coz my frnds say mmx canvas2 have lot more features than this one. Plz help i want to buy a good phone that can last 1.5 yr atleast without need for repair and with lots of features. As i m not a billionaire so cant afford more than 15000. My parents would never buy me a phone again if it goes hell before 1-2 yrs. plz help me choosing a good phone. Thanks
