Spotify revamps its family plan, it's now $15 per month for six users

Today Spotify is finally bringing its family plan in line with those of its main competitors in the music streaming space, namely Apple Music and Google Play Music All Access. Both of these have been offering $15 per month family plans that can be used by up to 6 people for quite a while - Apple Music since its launch last summer, and Google's service since December.

And now it's time for Spotify to match that pricing exactly. So, from this point on, a family plan for Spotify will cost you $15 or €15 or £15 depending on where you live, and it's good for up to six different users.

Previously, you had to pay $29.99 for five users as part of Spotify's original family plan (and it also had other tiers, for example two users for $14.99, three for $19.99, and $24.99 for four users). That's history now, and the good news is that if you've been subscribed to the old plan it looks like you'll automatically be moved to the new one - and charged less starting with your next billing cycle.

I live in Brazil, U$1 is equal to more or less R$4, U$15 equals R$60, the Spotify Family plan costs R$26,90/month for us, very cheap, that would be what? 6 dollars? New users pay R$1,99 for 3 months of subscription 😁
