Star Wars themed Google Cardboard now out for free

Love VR and wish you had a Google Cardboard viewer? Love Star Wars too and can't wait for The Force Awakens to be out? Well then, how about a Google Cardboard VR headset with a Star Wars: The Force Awakens theme?

That's exactly what Google is now offering in its hardware store. You can pick from the four designs you see below. Oh, and the Cardboard is free. And it comes with free shipping too.

The caveats? There's a limit of one per customer, and you probably need to act fast if you want one, since Google says it has "very limited quantities" available. Finally, you need to be a US resident and have a US shipping address to take advantage of the offer.

As with all Cardboard viewers, these too work with smartphones up to 6 inches in size running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or newer or iOS 8.0 or newer. If you download the official Star Wars app for Android, you can visit Jakku in virtual reality, using the Cardboard headset.
