Hi there,
When i turn on my G1 i get prompt to sing in or create google account. How can i skip this screen ? i have a google account but when i sign in it does not find any network. Please help me my phone is not on since 2 days.

Seller sent me... moreHi Marjan...it will ask you for a gmail account..whenever you have an android phone you need to access android using a Gmail account..so the sender has put up his account...you can either connect your phone to a laptop and flash it completely and reinstall the android firmware...or else you can ask the sender to share the email add and password for you if he does not have a problem...just flash the phone and it will work...also before all this try using your own Gmail account

Hi All, I just bought Locked G1 thru Amazon. Seller sent me T-Mobile's Unlocking Code. I live in Mexico when i put my Telcel SIM it doesn't detact. it doesn't get pass thru welcome screen. it says click on Android logo then it asks for Gmail account sign-in or setup. after putting Gmail details it comes up saying that "you don't have network access or your SIM has not been provisioned for data services"
IT IS NOT ASKING FOR ANY UNLOCK CODE ETC. Can anyone Please help me???? PLEASE!!!!

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2011somebody pls help me past the boot screen, my G1 wont start-upYou have to setup the APN settings of your mobile carrier and there should be a 3G network in your area. I'm in the Phils. I did the same thing in able for my phone to boot up.

hi,anyone who have installed CyanogenMod 6.1.0 (final release) please help me to install this ROM to my unrooted G1,my firmware is 1.0 (original T-mobile G1 firmware - RC19),anyone who had tast cyanogen on your own G1 & it's work without problem,please reply me how i can install it,(please write step by step)(my phone is unrooted)
also i read many comments about how to install cyanogenmod 6.1 to your g1.....but i don't understood how !!! one says backup with nandroid ! or bart ! what's this ??? wipe your Rom,Amon Ra's 1.7.0 Recovery,RADIO & SPL UPDATE,radio-2.22.28.25.img,hboot-1.33.0013d & more...

The htc g1/dream is the best mobile phone....
yes, it has only 528mhz processor..low ram and only 256 rom but...it can do everything a high end mobile phone does!!!
Root your g1 and get cyanogenmod6 on it...
u will have multi-touch...better pictures...continuous focusing both in pic and video mode..apps2sd and overclocking upto 614mhz!!!!
& many more.....!!!!
m not giving up my DREAM ever.... until se playstation phone shows up..hahha
