I just got the 1.6 update (Donut) last week. Now I know the battery is weak to begin with, but it's gone from full to empty in 24 hours, to empty in about 12 hours or less, and that's with everything turned off, and using the phome about 20 minutes a day?

I would choose the g1...the hardware keyboard is well worth the 5mp. Plus the g1 has a 3.2 that isn't that bad. It has the virtual keyboard too. The battery life isn't all that good but it has a mini usb port which in nowadays everything is charged by so I just carry a cord around and plug it up to any computer I want to. And in reguards to the g1 and iphone battle. The only advantage I see is the design being in the iphones favor. But my gf has a iphone and is on her 3rd in a years time. I bought my g1 used and haven't had a problem yet. Plus you can put music on the g1 without having to buy it thru itunes like the iphone... and in this economy...that's a plus unless you already have 1000's of itunes already... overall.I use my g1 for everything...mp3, camera, email, I'm, gtalk, and the internet works great. Just doesn't have flash support. But maybe that's cuz I'm not cool enuff for and iphone...

Shayan, 03 Sep 2009hi... i understand somthing about T.Mobile G1. The T.Mobi... morethe 1.5 cupcake update alows it to record video and sound aswell as adding onscreen keyboard and other features, donut coming out soon (2.0 i believe) will be adding improved software, running smoother faster and lower battery consumption, a new marketplace interface with improved search & catogries + screenshots for each app/game. The marketplace has most the good apps of the iphone/well known apps.

Rai, 29 Aug 2009If I buy this phone unlock, will it work if I put a CINGULA... moreWhen you buy a phone that is unlocked, it means you can use the phone with any carrier in the world that works with the phones frequencies. So the answer is yes it should work with that specific network carrier. Do remember that all unlocked phones are not garaunteed to provide all the proper functioning with a every carrier because some network carriers require that you have specific software installed. But from what I have seen so far, unlocked phones such as the g1 work fine on any carrier and software requirements (for the network carrier) are easy to find on the net.
