The G1 Update is coming soon, it will fix many bugs and add many features. i.e. bluetooth capabilities, touch screen effectiveness etc.

Christel, 23 Jan 2009Question: is it possible to transfer movies/dvd's onto the ... moreThe reviews I've read indicate that there is no video capture or playback on this device out of the box. Of course the advantage of android is that it's open source, and I believe there are apps available to download to rectify this.

i have always been doubtful on the usefulness of blackberry's and pda style phones, but the G1 caught my eye in particular.
it can do soo much more and is easier to use than any iphone or blackberry or xda.
the only drawback i have to mention is with heavy use the battery life is very limited. apart from that the best phone i have ever had and will have for some time

I have had my G1 for about 3 months now and I really like it.
I have had other HTC & Eten products and the G1 feels good in your hand, not to heavy but you don't feel like if you sneeze on it it will break.
#1 positive, the OS. There are some very creative people out there and I am fortunate enough to have some of their apps on my phone and most are still FREE.
#1 negative, RAM, they need to at least double it on next version. I have a lot of apps loaded and have gotten to the point where I usually have to go through the installed programs and unload a few so I can try something new.
Thanks to (most are free) 3rd party apps I have complete access to my work MS Outlook. Calendar, contacts, email it is all there.
The T-Mobile network had problems the first month in Houston but since then it has worked great. I
                                Recommend the phone!

Question: is it possible to transfer movies/dvd's onto the G1? With my vieuwty for instance I can put a dvd into my computer and transfer it to the phone and watch it on my phone.. is that an option with the G1?

Just changed my handset from N96 to G1, N96 just an entertainment toy as far as I realised. The power toy is G1..enojoying the greatness....

                                        Hi All,

Quick question to anyone who has this phone. Does the browser have full flash support? How is it on YouTube for example?
