I'm getting close to renewal so I will get the new mytouch 4g but I will miss my mytouch 3g. It's been a good, solid performing phone

This is an excellent, solid phone. The SD card the phone ships with is garbage until you reformat, but after that the phone works like a charm. It is a basic android phone, but it does everything.

This phone is horrible. I've had for a few weeks and it randomly turns off, doesn't charge, the camera keeps saying "error. cannot connect to camera." and it has caused me to the point of not even wanting a phone anymore. I hate this phone, and it doesn't work at all. worthless. DO NOT BUY IT.

I have had this phone for 2 years now and am due for an upgrade. im debating even staying with t-mobiles crappy service with their crappy devices. this phone almost braught me to the point of iphone, until ces 2011 changed my mind. android phones are awesome but make sure that you have a decent processor and ram (standard: 1ghz 1gb ram) not the crappy specs i have on mine. the new ones that are coming out are duel core which will be awesome. im debating on switching to verizon because they work everywhere and should have lte setup long before cingulars 2013.

After having used this phone for over a year and a half, I can't wait to GET RID OF THIS PIECE OF CRAP!! This phone is severely underpowered and overlooked by both T-Mobile and Google. The Mt3g was nice @ first but one thing broke down, had to get a new phone. Something else broke, sent it back and got another phone. Then after waiting for over a year, 2.1 came ota, 6 months after every other carrier. Completely finished the mt3g off and caused it to force close, force close, force close !!!
No flash support, the phone can't handle it or Live Wallpapers or alot of other programming.
Can't wait to trade it in and get another phone.
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

Trying to use it, it will either take me back to the homepage for no reason or just shut off all together and restart itself. It freezes or tells you to force close programs all day long. Ability to check email is sketchy at best. Ever since the system wide update sent out, the phone has basically become nothing but an expensive paperweight. I have lost all ability to use the internet. Every site is now microscopic and cannot be read. Some sites have no option to enlarge the page. I could go on for hours but I am trying to find a way to break my contract and get out all together

I have been using this phone since more than a year now...and it has been a fantastic experience.
The accelerometer makes this so much easier to use when typing and all my games are so much fun to play.
I have never had a single problem with this phone. With the Android 2.2 Froyo update it is running faster than the stock ROM Android 1.6 Donut. Android is the most amazing OS for a smartphone. Buying this phone was the smartest move I made. It has transformed my entire life.

this phone sucks... its good at some moments but overall its not the smartphone experience one would expect paying for all the services. browsing is ok with opera mini. texting sucks... if you have too many texts it takes about 5 minutes per text to send texts between different people going back and forth. has a lot of good apps such as google maps navigation.. too bad it freezes and restarts your phone a LOT! makes you want to throw it out the window if you're going for an interview or have to be somewhere for a meeting and need directions..

I am on my 3rd Mytouch and am tired of the problems....when I tap on an application (messaging for example) a completely different screen pops up. Like when I want to send a text message, my gmail comes up. Or when I try to open gmail, it takes me to my dialer. Each one of these phones that I've had have done the same thing. I'm tired of having to get new phones. Tonight they offered to replace my phone with a Samsung Behold II, but I don't know anything about that phone. Customer service is nice, but that still doesn't make my phone work. Anyone else experiencing problems like this??

If they offer me to replace it with the same phone, I will leave them and go with someone else. I am not paying for a smartphone that keeps resetting and losing all my data.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!
This is the worst phone I have had. Let me explain further, I have been with T-Mobile for years and haven't needed to change services. However, I moved from a blackberry phone to the myTouch 3G with Android about a year ago. Mistake. I had to replace the first one I got from the store within two weeks. The phone just didn't work. I got a replacement mailed out to me after spending 3 hrs at the mall store and letting them 'troubleshoot.' Sorry, but I don't just have 3 hrs during my day for you to play around.
Next my phone worked okay, very slow to open apps and web browser. I have never dropped the phone, and no water damage. I also got an app killer too. About two weeks ago the phone starts resetting itself, over and over again. I would plug the phone in and just keeps resetting itself. It would keep resetting over and over until the battery died. Pulling the battery didn't solve the problem.
However what can you expect it's an Android/Windows based phone. I called T-Mobile, this took two days as every time I would get the phone to work we could only make it through half the call before my phone would just start resetting itself, again, again, again, and again. This is even more convenient feature when you're on a conference call with a business client.
I did a hard reset and thought for about 2 hrs the problem was fixed. No luck, last night I got notification that 2.2.1 firmware upgrade was available, hoping this would fix it, again no such luck. Simply put I'm now convinced that Android is horrible.
My business partner has the Evo and raved about it for the first week. That's about it, it's sluggish and the system crashes due to programs running all the time. In Android's attempt to catch up with the iphone market they forgot this little thing like quality control. Over half my family has iphones, and make whatever pathetic argument you can they work! They turn on when they are suppose too, their OS doesn’t crash every 20mins. Yes, there was an antenna issue, but I don’t hold my phone like a grenade anyways and have used them without issues. And you know that every app is checked to make sure it doesn’t crash the iphone. Android is majorly behind the iphone market in so many ways more than sales.
Sadly, I’m getting my 3rd replacement myTouch mailed to me, but I’m not convinced it’s just ‘my phone’ anymore. I’m hoping that Santa drops an iphone under my tree this year. But regardless I’ll be switching early next year when my contract is up. AVOID THIS PHONE!! Still resetting…can I please use my phone Android?! Why am I being billed for something that doesn’t work? I wouldn’t buy a car if it didn’t start?
