I'm looking to replace my mother's Samasung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a newer smartphone this Christmas. Should I replace her Samsung phone with this T-Mobile brand REVVL 7 Pro? That Samung smartphone was purchased from T-Mobile, but she switched over to Mint Mobile at one point.

Yes, atleast in Hungary. I just bought one for 40 usd from T-Mobile (Telekom) since my family has everything at them.

                  video 1080p has 30/60fps max,
                  should just be:
                  Video: minimal

floydb1982, 30 Aug 2024Just do what I do. I upgrade my Samsung smartphone once a y... moreSmart... Er Not? I purchase my T-mobile Samsung S Ultra phones directly through Samsung as they give me $700-900 credit towards the new one with trade. I pay $350-450 only, to upgrade my S Ultra phones and I skip a Gen before upgrading because a single Gen upgrade is almost never worth it.

Just do what I do. I upgrade my Samsung smartphone once a year from T-Mobile for a little over $1,500 per smartphone.

                      I've purchased the following:

                      1) Note 10+ 5G
                      2) Galaxy S21 Ultra
                      3) Galaxy S22 Ultra
                      4) Galaxy S23 Ultra
                      5) Galaxy S24 Ultra

Next year, it will be the Galaxy S25 Ultra right after it goes on sale.

                        Manufacturer?
                        TCL?

It's a good smart choice that I bought the Motorola edge 2024, because I'm hearing some security issues now recalls, I made the smartest choice.

Phone has some security issues as well as hardware issues. Hence the recall. Everyone should have already received the info needed to have them replaced.

The refresh rate here is 120Hz.

Big props for the SD Card and 3.5mm jack additions.
It has PD3.0 and USB Type-C 3.0 so it should easily power any DAC.
If the processor can keep up this could be the cheapest route for a top tier mobile audio setup.
                                      It launched with Android 14.
This is the only phone that has all of the aforementioned features, and supports my local 5G bands other than the a few Sony Phones.
The new Sony Xperia 1 V is easily 4/5 times the cost of this phone.

It is the features this phone has that others don't that make it so interesting.
As long as the rest of specs can manage a decent experience this can be a game changer.
It would be nice to pick one of these up for ~$50 in a year.

It's as close to free as it gets, and you can't really expect much more from it.
