I got this thing for $50 so: that's the first thing to consider.
Quick and dirty review
Pros
typical 5G phone and text: no big issues
USB 3 port: quick data x-fer!
Micro sd slot: i can keep all my stuff at hand without cloud dependency $
Overall speed and performance: fine, but I'm not gamer
Cons
Camera: eeesh
Bluetooth: some annoying connection issues w car, music
Fingerprint sensor/start: works a little too well, phone starts up all the time. Lots of inadvertent pocket dials, Web browser activation, etc etc
Everything else is pretty average.
For 50 bucks, it's excellent.

Yes. There was a recall...BUT... that's old news. They have since re-released the REVVL 7 PRO without the issues people were having with the ones that were recalled. I bought mine after they re-released it and I love this phone. I have not had any "issues" with it whatsoever. I definitely recommend this phone to anyone that wants something more like the pricier phones yet much more affordable.

Can anyone confirm if this phone has DP video out over USB C? SoCt and USB 3.0 port indicate that it could support it technically...

3.5mm, card slot, oled, scanner on the side and band 13.. cant ask for more. shame they recalled em theyre better than the junk scamsung has been pushing lately

I'm looking to replace my mother's Samasung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a newer smartphone this Christmas. Should I replace her Samsung phone with this T-Mobile brand REVVL 7 Pro? That Samung smartphone was purchased from T-Mobile, but she switched over to Mint Mobile at one point.

Yes, atleast in Hungary. I just bought one for 40 usd from T-Mobile (Telekom) since my family has everything at them.

I pay $350-450 only, to upgrade my S Ultra phones and I skip a Gen before upgrading because a single Gen upgrade is almost never worth it.
