was planning to buy this thing on ebay. im an apple user and change phones frequently... i have many phones and doesnt satisfies though its all hi tech 3g ang wifi... im a nokia and an ericsson collector...(as ive said i chnge phones a lot) the only thing still i dont have or had is a qwerty phone i plan to buy blackberry for its qwerty but a lil bit expensive btw i live in japan so it only accept 2100umts and was got intimidate with this sidekick phone for it is 2100 can be use here when unlocked...
i have a Q`s: does any1 know if the phone will work with a prepaid sim using an internet? for it shows it doesnt have a wifi... and internet will work only if you got a line 3g sim... ? am i correct?
does it freezes when you use any application?
can any 1 help?

Hi, I am living in Queensland, Australia. I just bought this phone, secondhand, off ebay, I am hopefully going to pick it up tomorrow. The phone is unlocked & I am with Telstra, I'm just wondering, is there any way at all that the internet and IM will work on this phone for me.? Need to know asap seeing as I am picking the phone up tomorrow.

fir... moreIt is true I got mine from ebay to replace my nokia e51
but the thing is e51 has more of a performance than the sidekick lx well i bought the phone because all I need are text and calls but the constant deleting of contacts and phonebook is slowly getting into my nerves. Anyway get the phone if you really are interested in call and texts only.

kelevra, 25 May 2010Ok I got myself a 2nd hand unlocked sidekick LX 09. The pho... moreset the APN to blank and password to blank, tis will stop the phone from trying to register for services. Saves you some battery life.

they can definitely make this phone much better. with the same style and keyboard along with some or the latest features gps, better cam,different OS, so to say specs comparable to a top nokia it will sell off. i do have one and love it.
