Taiwan to get its first Apple Store soon

Himanshu, 12 June 2017

Apple will soon open its first official retail store in Taiwan. The information comes courtesy of the company's Taiwanese website, which confirmed that the store will be located in the Taipei 101 skyscraper.

CEO Tim Cook took it to Twitter to mark the milestone.

There's currently no official confirmation on the launch date, although rumors say the opening will happen sometime around this month's end. The store covers 1,322 square meters of area.

The Cupertino-based company currently has 495 retail stores in 17 countries around the world. Of the total, 270 are located in the United States.
