Talk Talk shutting down its mobile business

Paul, 25 January 2018

Talk Talk Mobile is currently in the process of withdrawing as a mobile operator in the UK.

With almost 1 million subscribers, Talk Talk is informing its customers that it will not be renewing their contracts at the end of their term.

Meanwhile customers on its SIM Only Monthly rolling plans are being contacted now asking if they would like to be connected to O2. All customers are being offered up to 25% discount on certain O2 Mobile plans.

Why O2? Just in case you didn't realize, Talk Talk is known as a 'quad-play' provider in the UK, offering its customer's TV, Broadband, Landline & Mobile services.

It began offering its customers a mobile service in 2010 by becoming a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), initially in partnership with Vodafone before moving to its current service provider O2.

If you plan on committing to a new mobile contract, our advice as always is to shop around prior to switching to find the best tariff that fits your usage.

In Sept 2017, Talk Talk Mobile announced its plans to withdraw as a Mobile operator in the UK in a shakeup to its business strategy.
