it's like $100 here and it has NFC dual speakers fingerprint sensor, I don't think it's a bad option to trade some performance for overall better features comparing with Redmi 13C

In the class of chipset P35,P23,P22(mtk)low range fon..their is better,than g37..it's really Not good for gaming.can play but got lag,sometim..for social media all is good

When using the tcl40se it might lag in high end games but using it for every day things tiktok,instagram,brawl stars it feels stable and good but i dont recomend it as it will feel slow in a few months

Few problems with this phone but a few up sides from the tcl 30 se... On wifi 17+ hour battery on 30 se. On se 40 se more like 11 hours on wifi .. on 4g signal 30 se 14 hour battery life on 40se 10 if your lucky! On 40 se cant use battery saver screen goes to dark ! On 30 se perfect. S tcl 40 SE is a heavy battery use phone and no good for gaming at all or your chargeing it 3 times a day ! And signal on wifi with ac chip set will pick ip 145mbps and 50mbps on 4g ... On the 30 se both wifi and 4g will only pick up 45mbps if your lucky!! 40 se is a slow charging phone ! 30 se is better and if your not a gamer and dont mind waiting 2h40m minutes for full charge its ok better speakers and great memory at 128g but its glitchy as shiit when using 4g+4g ram turn it back down to 4g ram only and its perfect.. personally im thinking of going back to the tcl 30 se its got a 7 hour extra battery life... And sell this the 40 se on ... I should of bought the Samsung a14 or the A52 ... Well you live and learn

It's a pretty good phone for around 130€ it costs now, with a lot of memory.

It looks really good. The screen is so big that you practically lose nothing, and also get a clean notch free screen

Camera is horrible, which is a shame, as the rest is quite nice for the price. Good call quality.
Nicer build quality than entry level Motorola but this TCL has one of the worst camera’s ever seen. No resolution at all - just try shooting anything with detail like leaves, gravel or bricks - it’s just a mush even on 1x enlargement. The colours are off too in photos, and the display (but display can be corrected in settings). They add fake sharpening (low grade super resolution/AI edge enhancement) which just looks fake and can’t hide the mushy details.
Tried OpenCamera to see if it was just the TCL processing but it’s as bad.
Avoid this phone if you care about photos. They only look ‘okay’ if you only view them on a small phone display and never enlarge/zoom in on them.
Even Moto G6 from years ago had more resolution in fine details.
Returned the phone.

Bought it like 2 weeks ago
The price is actually very nice, at least in Argentine pesos.
For a normal user as I am, it fulfills all my necessities
The system is fluid and fast, the personalized UI doesn't take any feature away.
The screen looks good and is big
It has NFC, I use the dual SIM For work
The cameras actually take nice photos
As I said, normal use, nothing so geekie or crazy, recommended if you don't have that much money

At least 90% of video content fits on screen without zooming

The phone is very descent specification.For regular use it is recommendable. For more memory buy 256gb model.

I don't care about screen too body ratio crap
Big bezel are just fine just more hand room
The reason I hate notch so much is it's part of the screen when you're watching a video that is blocked by the stupid notch or some games have get part screen again being blocked by that God damn stupid notch
