If am not mistaken a Alcatel or TCL battery be compatible with compatibility with either brand? I think it's the same size battery as well :)
Yeah true the brand's TCL & Alcatel really are similar in hardware software & even design same body but Alcatel has French brand name different company

If it doesn't for the TCL A3 being locked noneless & being in the UK plus shipping costs
I've of been able just buy the TCL a3 for only $40 which make it truely unbeatable in value for money
But UK pricing I feel like I was robbed but at least the smartphone is well optimized & doesn't start overheating it really is fast phone which is uniquely special considering it's remarkable low price
But the catch it was just so expensive £120 really did break the bank but at least turns out be a good phone even so the spec's are low
On the topic of hotway the price of the hotway note 12 is £86 least time I checked which is actually a better deal now than it was least time I saw the price

Was curious to take a peak as one of my mom's friends has a 3 year old, and she must of been given one of these to play with.
Yep. Good old middle finger from tracfone! Bootloader is (probably) hard locked.
There is a thread on XDA and that gsmhosting forum about networking unlocking where some people HAVE managed to get inside the mediatek download mode and muck about.
Unfortunately a quick test of my own with mtkclient resulted in that verification failed thing from the phone.
Looks like tracfone caught wind and pushed an update out that patched the bootloader. Come on tracfone, let us nerds have fun!
Avoid. Infact, avoid ALL of tracfone's and straight talk's phone offerings! The only time I'd recommend them is if their used and at a flea market.
Meanwhile the cheap and nasty "government phones" that sit along side them usually just "let you in". Sure, you could bend them in half, but they are a hackers paradise!

The 6nm Helio G99 chip in the Poco M5 is around 70% faster than Unisoc T606 according to benchmarks, and runs much cooler than the 12nm T606.
On top of this, Poco M5 has a 90Hz refresh rate screen and UFS 2.2 storage. Performance on that Hotwav isn't even close.

For the price tag you mentioned I can still find better deal could get a
hotwav note 12 with 8gb ram & 128 storage unisoc soc

TCL seems to have left the Android pretty much stock, except for a clock app for some mysterious reason. But it's easily fixed. I have seen no other problems.

Pretty much the only option for a small Android in early 2023. It's the Galaxy S23 for several hundred dollars or this phone that I got for literally nothing in a Kroger grocery store after a store coupon. Why is this part of the market being so totally ignored?
The A3 lacks for absolutely nothing. Except 5G which I don't care about yet.

I had this phone and there is no selling point nor any features that would set it apart from other budget phones like this. Even the Nokia C100 is better and a Blu View 2 looks like it does more for it being more cheaper. I gave it away to someone. Pretty disappointing phone.

This phone SUCKS!! It also sucks that Straight Talk only handles issues by phone & I hate talking on the phone! Notifications don't work, apps force close on their own, phone only gives me 1 option for the sd card instead of 2 so I can't move apps to it. I don't think I've ever been this disappointed by a phone before! Junk!!

Hi I Got This TCL a3 Alcatel Phone This Phone Freezes A Lot And It Is The Hardware Issues I Had To Power Off My Phone And Take Out My Battery To Fix The And Put it Back in I Dont Like Alcatel Phone I Had Alcatel Since 2012 And Another Alcatel 2015 Let Me Tell You These Phones Freezes A Lot Even If You Do The Factory Reset It Not A Good Phone. I Am Going To Be Ending Up To Buy Another Phone On March 2023 And This Time Its Not Going To Be An Alcatel.
If Your Going To Fix the Issue I Will Consider Buying Another Phone company Maker.

Can Anyone Know If The Alcatel TCL A3 Phone Has GPS I Tried Everything That I Could To Put My GPS It's Not Giving Me The Result i Have A Government Phone And It Doesn't Have The GPS Option I I Am Ending Up To Buy A New Phone On January 2023 and it Is Going To Be A Nokia Smartphone That Has A GPS I Will be Switching Phone Carrier I Don't Know What Going On With Alcatel I Gave Alcatel 3rd Time To Try The Phone And All Of The Sudden Alcatel Is Not A Good Phone. the Phone Keyboard freezes A Little Bit When I Write on The Keyboard Sometimes The Touchscreen is Not Sensitive Like My Other Phone.
