"Here I was thinking Tecno was finally gonna make a decent phone. But nope it's physically impossible for them to do so" I said this about the X2 Pro and I will continue to quote myself saying this on every phone I see from them until they release a good phone.
SoC is way too slow for $450. I don't care if it has 512 gigs of storage, there's much better options below this price with 512 gigs. They can't release a phone with a competitive SoC for the price for the life of them. They never have and they most likely never will.
If you think I'm wrong about the SoC, no. It's a rebranded Dimensity 1300 and only scores around 700k if you go off Antutu. It's similar to a Snapdragon 870. Over 2 years ago you could've gotten a phone with this level of performance for much cheaper. Even today if you don't mind 256 gigs of storage you can get the Nubia Z50 for almost the exact same price with the 8 Gen 2.
Tecno is simply terrible.

Tecno also says that the main can shoot HDR videos at 4k/30fps, which is a nice improvement from their previous phones.

Imagine most under 500$ only 8mp ultra wide camera from other smartphon. Only Tecno camon 20 5g premier have a first 108mp ultra wide combined with macro camera.

is there an app for hi-fps video recording that I've not heard of ? cos phone companies stay away from this more and more every year except only one company.. I wish this could be done by a help of an app support.. it would be like a miracle to record 1920fps with your shitty cameras lol !

Although the brand is not available in Europe and while I'm not going to argument about the hardware I do have an opinion on the design aspect and it's a positive one. Personally I do like the asymmetric design choice for the camera and I'm very fond of any leather back design. I would love to own a device with such a back plate instead of the endless glass sandwich or plastic stuff. Also the pattern is seems to be nice. Not much to say about the rest as you cannot do much with rectangular slabs.

Tons of details will change later this week. Some YouTube guys are doing unboxing videos and the specs shown in the back of the box are different.

eww 1080P@30fps, midrange smartphones must not doing that, thats only for entry level devices, and i also wish even entry level devices MUST have 1080P@60fps as standard coz 720P@120fps slowmo is trash and looks like CCTV quality
