Aside that, depending on how the phone is projected, headphone jack and microSD slot sometimes occupy a needed space for other specs, but it's not a rule. Anyway, most of times, they will remove whatever they want to reduce their production cost while keeping their prices the same or higher. That's how it is, unfortunatelly.

We found out that the CAMON 30 5G (and its Infinix's NOTE 40 series of 5G) with D7020 having a compatibility issue with Vulkan rendering for the Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. Any phones with D7020, D7025 or the D930 will be affected.
The GPU were using on that chip is the PowerVR B-Series GPU with a model number BXM-8-256 by Imagination Technologies. It is a rare GPU vendor that supposedly runs on a very low power consumption. It supports OpenGL, GLES, OpenCL and Vulkan.
But I suspected that the Vulkan and OpenCL renderer of the BXM-8-256 are running very low score on Geekbench 6 Compute Benchmark. So it is possible they'll running some rendering/compatibility issues and unstable environments of these modern APIs (except OpenGL/GLES).
https://browser.geekbench.com/search?k=v6_compute&q=Bxm-8-256
I need to test run them with Vulkan rendering activated on SuperTuxKart, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail if they having a similar issues on them. But rest assured on most games would work well without the most modern APIs enabled.
So its interesting topic to read, because of how rare and exotic GPU it has that never been discovered and beware if you're buying a phone with PowerVR GPUs for gaming, I suggest to avoid picking them and stick with the modern GPUs of the chip.

IgorS, 04 Apr 2024Updates that might appear later in the specs sheet: - No... moreThis is what I don't get about is the more expensive phones remove jack & sd slot while the cheaper ones have them? Should'nt it be the otherway around, the more you pay the more feature/functionality it should have.. 🤔

Updates that might appear later in the specs sheet:
- No headphone jack. The vanilla Camon 30 is the only of the new series that seems to have it.
- A 2K@30fps video is shown in their website and it seems to have some kind of tracking autofocus.
- RAM config here is 8GB or 12GB. Internal storage is 256GB or 512GB, which is very nice for a midrange phone like this. No info about microSD slot, however.

As for the proximity sensor of CAMON 30 4G and 5G variant. We do not know if Transsion put Elliptic Virtual for this which I don't like the behavior to interfere properly.
If it is valid speculation were not mounted elliptic sensor to CAMON 30 series (non-pro/premier version), then this is overall a perfect sensor combo hardware

We expect that the exotic GPU called IMG PowerVR BXM-8-256 will perform quite better than the Mali-G57 MC2 (on Helio G99/D6100+) in terms of graphical performance on GFXBench.
And as for the Compute performance (on Geekbench OpenCL/Vulkan), will perform very poor score. As for the actual use case, this isn't that a problem, unless you'll find some glich on graphical apps or games

This phone specs, chipset wise, is a preety good upgrade. With slightly upgraded both CPU and its underrated GPU (over D6100+, or even Helio G99 without 5G)
One thing if the phone could specify with UFS 3.1 standards (with at least LPDDR5/LPDDR4x RAM), passing their expectations of reaching similar speeds to shorten boot/loading times. Not to cheapen out the use of UFS 2.2 on the CAMON 30 5G.
