HiOSlover, 14 Sep 2024Why Dimensity 8020, not 8200 🤦🤦Flip is supposed to be stylish phone. It should be slim and power efficient because the slimmer of the body, the lesser battery capacity it has.
D8020 is just a little bit slower than SD 7 Gen 3. Of course it is faster than all D7xxx series.

Sacrifices were made to avoid old mistakes, I think...
Phantom V Flip with D8050 thermal management was bad, to the point the side-frame becomes so freaking hot that was impossible to touch without getting burned, according to GSM Arena review.
Maybe Tecno solved that problem with new tech, a slightly less powerful chipset and compensated with other features like faster charging, more battery, new cameras and new external display.
