For less rich or middle class customers there are the camon or spark models.

I like Tecno brand and i hope next time they will do better.

I don't see many reasons for that other than keeping the price tag low for the class.

In fact, they lost another opportunity to do something that stands out instead a phone that seems like a Pro version of the old generation.

So the latest model must use the latest and greatest chipset on the market the Dimensity 9300. The first V fold use already the Dimensity 9000+ so why uses it again ?? It is like Tecno sell the same experience. i agree that the 9000+ is already powerful but Tecno must make a proper update to give value to the latest phone. I know there is the price factor but The market is very competitive. For your latest flagship you must use the best chip in the business. Tecno must not repeat this error next time.

As if anyone - except boring tech nerds - would notice in real life. It's an old flagship chipset that still performs in flagship level.

However, I totally agree that Tecno was dumb/missed the opportunity to make a proper upgrade with a more recent chipset. V Fold2 seems like a Pro version from their first foldable.

It's 2 years old, but is still decent.

I think tecno made big mistakes in not using the Mediatek dimensity 9300+ Because it is the latest and greatest chipset on the market. This tecno device will lag behind others foldables. It's a shame.

justasmile, 13 Sep 2024Should've gone to the 9200+ or 9200 at the very least. When it comes to foldables, the main focus is productivity and not performance. I don't think anybody would buy a foldable because he/she wants to play PUBG or Call of duty mobile on 60FPS HDR (although there are people who do).
So, I won't really mind the Chipset. Although, you are correct.
If TECNO uses a good vapor chamber, and some good heat dissipation, it's good to go.

I really think this phone is an amazing phone, not minding the Chipset. The dimensity 9000+ is one very efficient chip, coupled with the fact that it's on a 4nm process, and has a big battery.
I just hope TECNO can pull this off properly.
