Norman, 01 Feb 2023Was looking up some info about the K60 and found out that i... moreHarder materials scratch less easily but crack easier. Softer materials crack less easily but scratch easier. There is no better glass. Why do you think the latest Gorilla Glass still cracks after 15 years of alleged constant generational improvements. It's marketing nonsense. I mean why do you think you can still scratch foldable displays with fingernails? If they used legit glass it'd crack.
And no, the K60 doesn't have a 144p display, it has a 1440p display.
And why are you even bringing up the fact that the K60 has a plastic option? They aren't forcing it to be the only one you can buy, unlike horrible Tecno. They aren't even making the glass model more expensive. 🤦♂️

Meanwhile as you complain about the phantom using plastic, the K60 it's self has a version that uses the very same "vegan leather" plastic. They leave that option for the buyer to chose.
But anyway it's all good.

2) Glass is better than plastic. Like I said they could've made it metal, they didn't even bother putting wireless charging in it.
3) "consider the fact that the phantom is using a curved OLED screen"? Consider the fact that the X2 is using a 1080p OLED panel when the K60 is using an objectively superior 1440p OLED panel that absolutely destroys the X2's panel in every aspect?
4) "get the redmi that looks just like every other generic phone out there." Ok so I should get this instead with an enormous camera bump that houses some underwhelming cameras, a plastic back and a thicker body?

VNuff, 20 Jan 2023Let's seal this debate once and for all, shall we?
Re... more"Tecno is larger and thicker but has a bigger display to show for it." People have expressed that they do not like larger displays. I would normally be against those people but manufacturers aren't trying to sell phones with 5 inch displays anymore, this is almost 7 inches. I mean a 0.13 inch difference is nothing anyways. But people would rather have the smaller phone. Especially when the thinner phone has quite the more sizable battery with faster charging. 😂
"The display itself however is way better on the K60, which rocks a class-leading QHD 120Hz AMOLED." Yes.
"Chipset is a toss-up" Nope not really. And your explanation shows it.
"The camera has to be a Tecno dub" Not when it can't shoot in 8K while the K60 can.
"Now the battery is a clear win for the K60" Yup.
So overall (TL;DR):
The Redmi K60 has a better display and battery and is cheaper.
The Redmi K60 has a faster chipset.
The Redmi K60 can shoot in 8K while the Phantom X2 can't.
Safe to say the K60 wins this one.

joe nodden, 17 Jan 2023No. That's horrible. The 8/256 Redmi K60 is $462.
... moreLet's seal this debate once and for all, shall we?
Redmi K60 256/8GB sells for approximately 419 euros (though starts at 390 for the 128/8GB).
Tecno Phat camera island sells for approximately 459 for the same config.
Tecno is larger and thicker but has a bigger display to show for it.
The display itself however is way better on the K60, which rocks a class-leading QHD 120Hz AMOLED.
Chipset is a toss-up; depends on what you want from a phone, CPU power is pretty much equal between the two, but the 8+ crushes in terms of graphics not to mention Qualcomm's better ISP, the 9000 gains back some ground with its better memory using better technology at a higher frequency, but you also have to remember the K60 takes better advantage of the inferior technology offering up to 16GB of RAM as opposed to a measly 8.
The camera has to be a Tecno dub, the X2 has bigger main and ultrawide sensors, as well as a higher resolution, bigger selfie, ISP aside, the Tecno takes this one.
Now the battery is a clear win for the K60, we're talking a 5500mAh cell charging at up to 67W with a cord, and if you fancy it up to 30W wirelessly.
So overall (TL;DR):
The Redmi K60 has a better display and battery and is cheaper.
The chipset is a draw.
The Tecno Phantom X2 has better camera hardware.
Safe to say the K60 wins this one.

But the Redmi is just a better value offering, it has a QHD display, faster charging so on and so forth, camera is clearly this phone's focus to the point I doubt I'll be able to hold it comfortably with an island that big.

joe nodden, 17 Jan 2023No. That's horrible. The 8/256 Redmi K60 is $462.
... moreThe 8 gen 1 is not any much better than the 9000 chip. Each has a few advantages over the other.
Having a glass back is not the test of premium quality you think it is, if anything it just makes the phone more likely to break, but hey to each his own.
But all that aside consider the fact that the phantom is using a curved OLED screen. For heaven sake those cost almost double the price of a flat screen so i think the slightly higher price is justified if you're looking for a more premium feel. Again to each his own, if you're trying to save a few dollars then go ahead and get the redmi that looks just like every other generic phone out there.

Raz, 16 Jan 2023India 8gb 256 is $490 amazon which I think is good No. That's horrible. The 8/256 Redmi K60 is $462.
That has a faster 8+ Gen 1, a vastly better 1440p display, faster charging, wireless charging, an arguably more capable set of cameras, a larger battery despite being thinner, and more. I mean this is just plastic garbage. Imagine paying $500 for a phone with a plastic back. 😂 I mean at least make it metal or something. It's not like these halfwits put wireless charging in it.
Tecno couldn't make a good value phone to save their lives.

Finally a phone that places the camera island in the center and not in the corner. Looks very symmetrical this way. Way more prettier than the ugly excuse called OnePlus 11.
