Tecno Pova 6 Pro review

Design and handling
The Tecno 6 Pro retains a familiar design style, which Tecno calls "Mecha design language", but the ornaments have changed, and the camera island is revamped. The LED lighting remains on board, though.

The LED strips don't span the whole back this time, but they are nicer, thinner and more refined. There's also an LED ring surrounding one of the auxiliary camera sensors.

As before, the LED lighting has various use cases - for notifications, calls, music, charging, gaming, etc.

No matter which phone color you choose, Comet Green or Meteorite Grey, you get the same industrial look with popping 3D-like elements beneath the transparent back, which in turn is made of plastic like the rest of the phone. Except for the front panel, which is unspecified glass.

Despite being all-plastic, which is expected given the price point, the handset feels nice in hand, albeit a bit slippery and with somewhat sharp edges and corners. After all, it's a big 6.78-inch smartphone with flat design.
Fingerprints and smudges are rather easy to spot, unfortunately.
On the flip side, the handset is lightweight and tips the scale at just under 200 grams, which is impressive for such a big device.
Button placement is optimal - the volume keys and the power button are easy to reach with your thumb. The fingerprint reader, on the other hand, is placed too close to the bottom edge of the screen, which is far from ideal. It's a bit awkward to reach, especially when holding a big phone like the Pova 6 Pro.

All in all, the handset offers a nice build and unique-looking design and adds an IP53 certification against dust and splashes into the mi, which is a nice upgrade over the predecessor. We just wished for a better fingerprint reader placement. At least the reader is fast and responsive.
