Let me know how it goes after you've installed that update, maybe I'll try it out too.

However, I can lock it back to get update. I haven't done that so it won't update to the latest version

Now I'm able to play the game at low graphics, high frame rate without lag.
Only issue is, out of the game, the phone lags
Stops responding to touch occasionally until I lock and unlock the screen, scrolling lags etc
But still usable

Stock roms are used to fix a phone after a buggy update. I've always wanted to go back to stock actually, but I don't have the necessary equipments and knowledge to do so.

I don't believe that, so I'm looking for someone with more knowledge on this.
And while the process is risky, you can always remedy the situation by going back to hiOS
