Telegram to soon launch its premium plan
A new finding by Alessandro Paluzzi reveals that Telegram is moving closer to introducing its premium tier. The hint comes from a data string that drastically changes the wording of the welcome screen when downloading and installing the messaging app.
Right now, you will read "Telegram is free forever. No ads. No subscription fees." but that text will be replaced with "Telegram provides free unlimited cloud storage for chats and media." That's a clear indication that a subscription-based plan is in the works and will likely be introduced very soon.
The same developer sheds some light on some of the exclusive features Telegram will offer to its paid accounts. In addition to a star badge that will appear next to your name in the chat lists, the app will give you access to exclusive stickers and reactions, The subscription cost remains a mystery, but we have a feeling we will know soon enough.

These open-source projects I mentioned doesn't really earn any big money, the devs would earn lots more money from a regular job or compared to a commercial application. But sure they get at least parts of there costs covered.
