Tesco Hudl 2 goes official: 8.3" 1080p display, quad-core Atom

03 October, 2014

Today Tesco officially announced its second generation Hudl tablet. The Tesco Hudl 2 packs an 8.3" 1080p display resulting in a pixel density of 265ppi. Under the hood, there's an 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM.

The Huld 2 promises to last 8 hours on a single charge thanks to Android 4.4 KitKat and its optimizations. Internal storage is 16GB, but is expandable via the microSD card slot. Tesco has managed to pack in a 1.2MP camera at the front and a 5MP snapper at the back. There are also Dolby optimized speakers at the back.

The price of the tablet is what makes it oh-so impressive. Tesco will sell the Hudl for just £129. Expect it to hit Tesco stores starting October 9.

Does anyone know which GPU this tablet has? Wish they had gone S400/A320.
