The Nothing Phone (1) could be announced this week

Peter, 06 June 2022

A week ago the Twitter account for Nothing, Carl Pei’s new company, recapped the details it has officially confirmed for its first phone. It finished by saying that the announcement is “coming (very) soon”. A few hours ago it followed up with a simple tweet: “This week”.

The Nothing Phone (1) could be announced this week

It’s not clear which day yet – not today (today is kind of busy, anyway), but we should get a confirmation soon enough. The company has already revealed its launch partners for the Nothing Phone (1): O2 in the UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany and Flipkart in India.

Note that even if the phone is unveiled this week, leaked info suggest that sales will start next month, July 21, specifically. The price is rumored to be around €500 ($535/₹41,000).

Officially, the Phone (1) will have a chassis made out of recycled aluminum, no chin on the front, a transparent back, wireless charging and an unnamed Snapdragon chipset.

Unofficially, @TechDroider claims that the phone will have a 6.55” OLED display with 1,080 x 2,400px resolution and that it will be a flat panel. It should have a high refresh rate, but the exact number is not entirely clear. Note that a previous leak claimed a 6.43” diagonal, so the unofficial info may be inaccurate to say the least.

Man yes but headphone jack is best. I like charging my phone and listen to music at the same time.

Agreed, The headphone jack they put on phones have always been trash anyways, besides LG, so its not like you'd get good audio quality from those headphone jacks.
