The Poco M6 Pro is launching in India this Saturday
From the initial teaser we know that the Poco M series will be returning to 5G land, now the company has given us a bit more detail – the Poco M6 Pro will be launched on August 5 (this Saturday). This tidbit also comes with a better view of the back of the device.
We already saw the important bit on here, the flat camera island with two lenses (there is no additional detail on those).
Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 12 5G just yesterday, a phone that gains its 5G connectivity through a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. This particular model has a similar camera layout, though without the decorative panel that makes up the camera island.
Still, we can speculate that the Redmi 12 5G and the Poco M6 Pro are related. That’s not unprecedented, the Poco M3 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 10 5G are essentially the same phone, except for the styling of the back. The Redmi starts at ₹11,000 for the base 4/128GB model, the Poco M4 and M5 launched at around ₹13,000, so the new M6 Pro should also fall in the ₹10-15,000 price range.
