The Pulse Pro is the first HMD phone to receive Android 15
HMD has arguably been doing a pretty good job with its device lineup. Unfortunately, the update schedule and frequency have been a bit spotty, but eventually, the company does deliver on its promises. In the case of the HMD Pulse Pro, the phone is in line for two major software updates and three years of security patches.
HMD has now started its Android 15 rollout with the Pulse Pro. We have been getting reports of units already receiving the OTA. It weighs around 3.12GB and also includes December 2024 security patches. The update promises big performance improvements, privacy and security upgrades, adaptive battery improvements, and advanced notification control.
This OTA seems global, but it is still being delivered in batches, so your unit might not see it immediately.
HMD isn’t particularly good at sharing official update schedules, but we know of at least a few devices and device families confirmed to get Android 15.
