Nothing is official or set in stone yet, you it's a fair assumption to make. Qualcomm recently published a page on its website revealing that its Tech Summit event will be held between November 30 and December 2, 2021. A big banner with a boat tracing an infinity sign in the water and a "More to come, soon!" text - that's about it. No extra info, no itinerary, no nothing as of writing this article.

Still, putting two and two together, rumors of the next flagship Snapdragon 898 have been floating around for some time now. In fact, some sources claim that the first phone to use the chipset will be the Xiaomi 12 and that it will launch by the end of the year. Seeing how keynotes typically take place on the first day of a convention, it is safe to assume that the Snapdragon 898 will be detailed on November 30 or failing that, no later than December 2.

Thanks to quite a few leaks, even including one of an actual unknown device running the Qualcomm SM8450 chipset, otherwise known as the Snapdragon 898, we do already have a pretty good idea of its specs. It is expected to have a prime AMR Cortex-X2 CPU core - running at 3.0 GHz, alongside three Cortex-A710 based mid-cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and finally four efficient Cortex-A510 derived cores at 1.79 GHz.

The GPU is said to be an Adreno 730, which between architectural improvements over the Adreno 660 and Samsung's 4nm manufacturing process might bring up to 20% performance improvement to the table. For connectivity, we expect an X65 5G modem, with a theoretical maximum downlink speed of 10Gbps.
