The Trump phone changes its appearance ahead of launch

Vlad, 21 August 2025

The Trump Mobile T1 Phone was announced alongside the Trump Mobile carrier in the US in June, when it was promised to arrive in August or September. In the meantime, the text has changed and now only says "later this year".

The Trump T1 has already undergone some changes from its initial announcement - this bragged about it being "proudly designed and built in the US", but that has since turned into "proudly American" which means something completely different. This trend continues with the post from X that you can see below.

The vague language ("the wait is almost over") isn't surprising anymore, but take a look at the phone itself - this looks nothing like the first images released in June (which are still up on the Trump Mobile website, by the way).

This is what it used to look like (and still does on the official website) This is what it used to look like (and still does on the official website)

So what happened here? Has the Trump T1 magically undergone a metamorphosis into what looks eerily like a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with a gold-colored case on it? We obviously can't say, but this keeps smelling fishier and fishier.

Either the people running the Trump Mobile X account have never visited the Trump Mobile website, which shows different images of the phone, or the design has changed since the announcement, or this is all just a scam. You be the judge. By the way, the dancing around where it's actually made continues - "with American hands behind every device" the image in the post above says, but that doesn't actually mean anything.

If I were them I would have taken a Google phone, upped the specs, make it in US if possible (but not necessary, due to a lot of factors) till one day they can come up with their own line.

And yet their president is likely as rich or even richer than most US politicians.
