The vivo X300 Pro will use a "deeply customized" 200MP 1/1.4" Samsung sensor for its tele cam

We’ve been hearing a lot about vivo X300 Pro’s camera upgrades – the upcoming camera flagship is said to use Sony’s LYT-828 1/1.3” sensor (an improved version of the LYT-818 used in the X200 Pro and Ultra) and an upgraded 200MP telephoto module.

The telephoto module will use a 200MP sensor from Samsung. Vivo exec Han Boxiao revealed on Weibo that this sensor is “deeply customized” and vivo will have exclusive use of it. It’s called the ISOCELL HPB “Thanos”.

In addition to the new sensor, vivo has greatly improved the optics for the X300 Pro. Its optical image stabilization will achieve CIPA 5.5 level of stability. This is up from CIPA 4.5 on the X200 generation. This is a full stop of difference, i.e. the X300 Pro will be able to use shutter speeds that are twice as slow while achieving the same sharpness.

The ZEISS T* coated and APO-certified lens will minimize chromatic aberration. The lens is made from fluorite glass to minimize light dispersion. Vivo has worked with its partners to improve the hardware and software to deliver faster focus tracking and image processing.

As you can see in the image above, the 200MP 1/1.4” ISOCELL HPB sensor will be part of an 85mm periscope module. To the right of it are two “mainstream” telephoto modules used in competing phones – a 50MP 1/1.56” sensor with a 70mm lens and a smaller 50MP 1/2.51” sensor with a longer 120mm lens.

Cameras aside, the vivo X300 Pro is rumored to have a flat 6.8” 1.5K display, a Dimensity 9500 chipset and a massive 7,000mAh battery. Additionally, check out leaked camera details for the vivo X300 (or X300 Pro mini).

Zeiss is no sensor producer, but lenses. With a Samsung or Sony Sensor, and matching leica, hasselblad or Zeiss lens, it's not Sony or Samsung from the art of rendering images - get this into your head.

".It's not that serious." You have no clue! And Zeiss is way more longer there than even Leica - Think about, how many lenses during the past century came from a Zeiss lens design, either way planar, sonnar, tessar (most copied ever le...
